Infrastructure is basic physical and organizational structure needed for the operation of services
and facilities in society. It generally means to provide framework supporting an entire
development of a particular project, for instance, infrastructure of public transport can be defined
as better train and bus stations, fast and direct transit service, access to every place in city via
train and busses
Public transport is a service provided by the government of the city which is available
use for general public. Public transportation includes busses, rails, subway trains and taxi cab.
Public transport is a vibrant driver which runs day to day economy of the country as it helps
millions of commuters to commute from one place to another in fast pace. Investments in
infrastructure allow goods and services to be transported more quickly and at lower costs,
resulting in both lower prices for consumers and increased profitability for firms. Moreover,
commuters would consider public transport as their first option if infrastructure of public
transportation in the country is well established. Eventually, this will result in increment of
revenue being generated and this revenue can be invested for infrastructure purposes.
The Chicago Transit Authority lacks development in public transport
infrastructure as they are five hundred million dollar short of state and federal funding. This
had resulted the consequences of the infrastructure as trains speed have been slowed and this
led to a more than forty percent increase in late train arrival. After this incident happen, Chicago
Transit Authority Officials said they would renovate the train tracks by the end of the year, so
that there wouldn’t be slow track concerns for the commuters. In my opinion, Chicago Transit
Authority might have lost hundreds of passengers who were commuting daily as they can’t
afford to have a delay in their destination (Helkevitch)
CTA and the suburban bus Pace operators increased the fares by 50 percent, while
commuter rail fares doubled in 1981. Most suburban bus was shut down immediately when RTA
had failed to subsidize payments. The commuter rail fare increased prices provoked the suburban
commuters and this resulted in 40 percent ridership overall. Some riders in suburbs had shifted to
CTA rapid transit and express bus routes to manage their budget of a result increased fares.

When you encounter a city such as Chicago, it is practically impossible to avoid CTA and Metra trains. From short store errands to long journeys home, the CTA is there as your personal downtown car. If you do not have enough money to put into owning a car or simply do not want to put up with trying to find parking in the congested city, the CTA is there for you. Where more people to use the CTA, the amount of gas polluting the earth would significantly decrease the pollution levels in Chicago. Since there aren't as many cars on the road, it not only decreases the carbon monoxide leaking from cars but the amount of cars on the road, which also decreases the amount of people on the road. Numerous laws state how using the CTA could benefit people in Chicago overall. These are just some of the reasons Metra and the CTA has impacted everything from population to economics and even political and environmental issues.
One positive of the new transportation networks was how it made travel faster around the country. “They made travel, if not enjoyable, at least faster, less expensive, and less perilous than it had ever been. The 1830s had reduced the travel time between Boston and New York to a day and a half” (Historical Background on Traveling in the

Transport is a political factor as it is controlled and affected by legislation. This will impact on the staff and opponents (travelling to the stadium) as the accessibility of transport will impact on travelling times – both positively (may avoid traffic on a train e.g.) and negatively (trains, buses etc. may be cancelled or delayed). The price of transportation will also affect the mode of transport that these groups of people may use. Similarly, price and accessibility of transport will affect the consumers also. The view that consumers hold on transport, therefore, is likely to impact on the business i.e. effort to travel, money to travel etc. as this will influence how often they will visit, what they will spend during their visit etc. According to (Mintel 2011,) the amount of people using train as a mode of transport is on the rise, mea...
For now the more use are the airlines, buses, or trains. Many people use the airlines to travel to one place to another, and by building the railway it will decrease the number of people who ride the planes and it will decrease the amount of people traveling in car, too. The railway is not only going to decrease the amount of people traveling in planes, cars, or bus but it will also decrease the amount of time people take to travel in this kind of transportations. A reporter says, “Texas central is planning to build a bullet train route that cut between Dallas and Houston, Trimming about 2 hours off the average driving time, and saving over an hour compared to air travel” (“Proposed”). The railways will cut time for passengers to get to their destination but it will have a bad result later on. Some people agree on building this train because it will be faster to get to one place to another, but they are wrong because it will take costumers away from other transportations, and it will have an impact in the increase of how much each ticket cost. It will destroy land from does that live there. Researchers have found that railways benefit economies by bringing competition to transportation because people will be able to choose from all the varieties. The Researchers are wrong because airline will not have the same amount of people as they do before the high-speed train is build. Not only the airlines but bus stations because people will not notice other transportation. The airlines, the cars, and trains companies will change things from their transportations because they will want to be better than the railways. For example, technology or even the ticket prices. All they would want is to be better than the railway, causing more and more competitions, which means people will expand more on buying the transportation
On the one hand, it is understandable if some people think that governments should expand more railroads rather than roads and streets. Firstly, it is obvious that when a country has extensive rail networks, it will positively affect the logistic cost. The selling price of many products would be cheaper since a single locomotive could carry tonnes of crops, goods or liquid products. Secondly, by building integrated subway stations in city
Name: Nassuel Valera Article title: “On the wrong track” Source and article date: The Economist. May 4th, 2017. • What was the chosen article about? New York’s railways are in terrible shape. Essentially, how train tracks that are in need of much deserved maintenance are being the cause of train derailments and the loss of millions of dollars, causing delays of about a week, which lead to lost economic activity, such as delayed passengers costing their Manhattan employers for every hour delay a sum that goes beyond $10m, and Amtrak losing fares which pays for operating costs.
There would be less complaints going in to the city, making the satisfaction skyrocket. By cutting public transit, they’ll be saving on money that they can put towards fixing the city and helping the homeless. In Winnipeg, we have iconically bad roads. There’s pot holes and cracks everywhere, and it has damaged vehicles.
From time to time the train would briefly stop, to let on and off commuters, mail, and packages. Other than those short recesses the train halted another large number of times. For some reason the train halted all of a sudden and remained as such for thirty minutes. Like that, few miles later, the train froze once more, that time not moving until dark that day. Because of a variety of disasters on the tracks, our train was delayed a number of times.
residents travelling to and from the train station. This creates a comparative advantage as Uber
Moreover, the railway roads also allow people to travel, explore the world low cost effectively with greater ease. Recent Tech and my prediction: Hyperloop train is one of the most exciting and ever waiting innovations in transportation system. The train will transport from LA to San Francisco in just 30 minutes with a speed of 800 mph. Elon Musk announced this dream project design in August (Five future transportation). We all are waiting to see the functioning Hyperloop in the near future.
Public transportation is an essential part of a city. A good public transit can encourage a city’s economic activities and can provide its citizen a convenient life. Does our Phoenix public transit work well? Does it provide sufficient service to the citizen? From my experience, the answer is no. This November I tried to attend the popular State Fair in Phoenix. However, I found that there were not any buses or metros could take me to the fair directly. It means I need 2 hours or more spend on the public transits. As the sixth most populous city nationwide (“Phoenix Quick Fact” 1), compared with Los Angeles and other big cities in America, Phoenix’s public transportation is indeed subpar. Due to Los Angeles has 154 bus lines and 30 metros (“Schedule”), New York has 316 bus lines and 28 subways(“Maps & Timetables”), while Phoenix only has 98 bus lines, and the number of metro line is only one! (“Route Schedules & Maps”) The problem is

Most of cities that people live are sequentially growing, daily routine of many people are also adapted for surrounding in the present. A lot of people have to spend most of their time with travelling though long distances to get from one place to another for connecting their businesses or other purposes by transportation. Most people use public transportation such as BTS and MRT to go each places while many people are using their own cars to travel. Thereby, both transportations have the same destination that is taking and moving people. People can choose vehicles from alter reasons depend on how people are responded to their needs by public transportation and private car that are different in convenience of travelling, expenditure of money and security of travel.
Rail transportation is a transportation in which for movement of people and goods which from one location to another destination. Rail had been takes the important role in physical and economic development of town and cities in a country and it was developed over the world. Rail transport can be made a property value in a country increase and it must be needs improvement in transportation network expanding (Goldberg, 1970). Thus, the railway services need to be done with continuous improvement and it is important to the rail passengers of the range and quality of facilities and service on stations and trains (Gleave, S. D., 2000). The future development to a public transportation is a key to affect
