Abraham Lincoln
“Abraham Lincoln caught the publics attention for a long time as he presented a great role model for all Americans. Even today, almost all political conversation mentions him as his achievements have spoken for him (Samuels,2012).” As an illustration, there are thousands of books, articles and web pages which talks about Lincoln and his own extra ordinary life achievements. “Lincoln was born in 1809 in small hut located on a farm called Skining Spring Farm in Hardin County, Kentucky (Samuels,2012).” He was the 16th president of the United States. He grew up in a poor family on the western border of the State of Kentucky. He taught himself through self-education, because he had to help his family work the farm. Although he lived a difficult and hard childhood, he did not stop studying. At the same time the political situation was not so good, but Lincoln had an interest grown up within him. He made impressive footprints in United States history. Later, he was assassinated in 1865 while watching a play with his wife‎. His death was a tragedy for all Americans and the nation has lost a great leader whose actions speak for him. The most important achievements he has done are over the civil war, free the slaves and establish the United States banking system.
“Lincoln greatest achievement was to end the civil war. The civil war lasted almost four years from 1861 to 1865. The war started when seven states separated starting with South Carolina. They established a new alliance called Confederate States of America. After Lincoln endeavored to fortify Fort Sumter in Charleston, South Carolina, Confederate powers opened fire and the Civil War has started.
