A best friend’s wedding in San Diego, a close family member’s funeral in Seattle, a visit to the grandkids in New York all have one thing in common for someone who does not live in any of those areas. What is it? They are all events for which air travel may be necessary. In today’s global culture, air travel is inevitable at some point in nearly everyone’s life. For someone who has never been on an airplane before, flying can be both an exciting and nerve-wracking affair. The entire process, from buying a ticket, to surviving security, to actually boarding the plane, can be enjoyable and somewhat easy for seasoned pro who knows what he or she is doing. However, for someone new to the world of flying, it can all seem slightly overwhelming. Knowing how to go through the process with ease is essential for a smooth and relaxing journey when a situation arises in which speed and convenience of air travel is required. If you drive yourself to the airport, you will need somewhere to park your car for the duration of your trip. There are generally two options for this. The first and more expensive option is to park in an airport-owned lot close to the flight check-in area. The second, cheaper option is to use a lot owned by a third-party company a short distance from the airport itself. The downside of this is that you will be forced to take a shuttle to the check-in area for your flight (more on this in the next paragraph) instead of simply walking like you would from the airport-owned lot.
