Imagine a life without internet, everything would be different, many would not know what to do. It was just 25 years ago that the internet was created and changed the world. In 1989, the World Wide Web was created by Tim-Berners-Lee. Before the internet, information had to be acquired by books, people, or other written works. Now, anything a person would ever need to know is at the tip of their fingers. There are many ways that the World Wide Web has changed the world. It is still not accessible to everyone, but it is rapidly growing. In wealthy countries most families have several ways to access the internet. The pros and cons of the internet are indefinite, but most would say that it has definitely more of a help than harm. Communication is a pro, communicating is now easier than ever before. Research has both pros and cons. It is more efficient and less time consuming. It is also a con in that plagiarism is occurring or often. Social media is meant for good, but many problems have occurred from it.

Technology is creating a whole new realm for journalism. Before the World Wide Web, the majority of journalism was done by newspaper companies. Now, newspapers are slowly declining in the journalism world. People are still using them, but many people now have ways that are more readily accessible. Websites such as Yahoo, NBC, CNN, Google, Fox, Huffington, New York Times and many more are being used by millions of people every year. Some people like the classic newspaper because they have it in person and it is easier; Most older people use the newspaper since they are not as familiar with technology.
