As the world grew its people began to explore, to spread out and seek out one another. Form 1000-1600 Man went farther than his ancestors could have ever imagined. And with this exploration came both negative and positive side effects. Some of the positives include a shift from land to sea for trade routes, the Renaissance and the vast amount of knowledge that came from that and new trade routes began to emerge. However there were also negative aspects of intercontinental trade such as; the many different warlords that came through and killed thousands in the pursuit of land and other riches one example of this would be the Mongols, The Black death that claimed the lives of so many, and lastly the Slave trade that flourished form the new trade routes and intercontinental communication.
A shift took places from 1000 to 1300 that sent long distance trade from land to sea. Several advancements in technology made sea routes safer and more profitable then the previously used land routes. This shift brought about a change in how business was deals and other transactions were dealt with....
