Being part of the Rutgers community would not only allow me to share my experiences, talents, and culture, but also to form new connections and friendships, find new talents, and most importantly, follow my passion to become a dentist. From the Rutgers environment, I can benefit from the variety of experiences, talents, and cultures of the students and faculty. In addition, I believe that my unique background, experiences, and talents can contribute to the diversity of Rutgers.
In my opinion, the diversity of the students and faculty identify the Rutgers community. Having gone through 12 years of Catholic schooling, I have only learned about various cultures and religions, but never encountered many of the fascinating groups. As a multifaceted university, Rutgers offers the opportunity to meet new people of different backgrounds and to learn from their experiences. Through the students’ different cultures and backgrounds, I can develop new interests and discover new talents. I know that I will form new friendships and relationships with Rutgers’s students that will last a lifetime....
Princeton is an excellent university that provides good opportunities and education for hard working students to pursue their dreams. Princeton University is located in New Jersey with 30,000 residents in a safe and pleasant neighborhood (Princeton University - About Princeton; Princeton University - Facts & Figures; Princeton University). There are shops, eco-friendly streets, restaurants, and nice parks surrounding the campus. There is a shuttle train, the “Dinky,” can transport students directly from the campus to Princeton Junction Station where students can travel to New York and Philadelphia within an hour each. These places can be extremely useful to students wanting to discover countless resources of arts around them.
...communities, especially those that are in need and what the community needs are primary health providers. From the beginning, when I decided to pursue dentistry, my goal was to become a general dentist, the idea of specializing seemed unnecessary. However, I have a recent newfound interest in pediatric dentistry and may explore that specialty. I’ve enjoyed working with children throughout the various volunteer activities and I feel like there is a need for pediatric dentists in the underserved communities. By being a pediatric dentist as a part of the National Health Corps Scholarship Program, I would be able to provide valuable skills and resources to children and their parents, especially those with special needs and dental fears. While pediatric dentistry is a specialty I will continue to explore, the priority remains to commit my career to serving those in need.
I have always been intrigued by Rutgers University and all that it has to offer. After graduating highschool, I was unimpressed with my GPA and the work ethics I developed. At that moment, I decided that my next steps towards earning my degree would be to give it my all and put as much effort as possible towards education. After going to Brookdale, I wanted to challenge myself; attending Rutgers University is without a doubt the best way to do so. Rutgers University is unlike any other school. Not only is
My interest in dentistry is a result of a sincere interest in the profession as well as a strong belief that my personal qualities will allow me to contribute to the well-being of others. My observations of dentists at work, my interest in thier manual skills, and my strong desire for service work have lead me to choose dentistry. My broad but science-centered academic background is health-related, which will help me succeed in a dental program.
By embracing, and not just celebrating diversity in our colleges, we can create a more broad, educated, and interesting view of the
Diversity is a common issue everywhere, people find it hard to accept others who are different than than them in any way, and racial diversity is an especially big issue. College campuses create opportunities for students to become more accepting about diversity. They are surrounded by students of many different cultures and races opening their minds to new ideas.
One of the unique aspects of the university is that it is a place for social opportunity and embraces diversity. The
When diversity is being discussed, there are a plethora of ideas that are associated with it. Whether people are talking being put on a waitlist for college, about people of color, or about representation in the media, the subject of diversity is not rare. Recently, the conversation of diversity has become more common because colleges want to demonstrate that they have diversified campus. How would diversity on campus be defined? Most importantly, diversity is more than having an extraordinary personality. Race, gender, sexuality, and social status are a few of the superfluous traits that make an individual unique in a college’s eyes. In Sophia Kerby’s article, “10 Reasons Why We Need Diversity on College Campuses”, she notes that, while there has already been an effort to diversify high schools and middle schools, accepting students of different backgrounds is not as apparent in higher education (1) . A university desires to diversify its campus in order to benefit the students that are attending the college. Students are not only likely to improve
I believe I offer the residency program I join a unique perspective, my deep commitment, and my enthusiasm. In our evolving healthcare landscape, a physician should be able to multitask, make quick decisions, have the competence to make those decisions, and be able to deliver their messages to their patients in a compassionate way, inspiring them to improve their health and the quality of their lives. Being a physician who can draw on numerous life experiences in order to best serve her individual patients is the type of physician I plan to
Diversity in a university is so important. First of all “diversity enriches the educational experience”. Students are able to learn from one another’s experiences. Also diversity helps maturity through most students. With diversity, students are able to learn about the other people’s experiences and are able to break down the stereotypical “walls” that our country has built. While students are breaking down these stereotypical “walls”, students will be able to effectively communicate with others of various backgrounds. As students learn about each other’s hardships or success, they will be capable of reaching a state of mutual respect for one another(On the Importance). “The higher education community stands committed to furthering the goals of equal opportunity and diversity on college...
Diversity has always been a topic of interest for me. I enjoy looking at statistics on minority groups and researching other countries and cultures. When introduced to this project, my partner and I chose to look at the diversity population in Saint Joe. Specifically, we looked at the international student population. The number of international students is increasing rapidly throughout the U.S. Although Saint Joseph’s College does not have a large international student population like bigger state universities, the program is growing in size. With a population of about 1,200 students, St. Joe currently has 24 international students. These students were recruited by coaches late last year. Many of the current students who were recruited by
Other than the outstanding reputation Boston University has with its academic programs, there are a plethora of personal reasons I have for desiring to attend BU. Ever since I was a little kid a close family friend attended BU, making my family and me really familiar with the university. We all hold BU in high regard and I know being able to attend BU will make my mom and the people supporting me proud. Even though my mom will make it apparent that she is proud of whatever college I attend, I know from experience that she wants me to go to a prestigious college such as BU and will be disappointed if I don’t. Being able to go to BU will alleviate a lot of stress from my shoulders, as I will be fulfilling my mom’s wishes while being able to go
Rutgers is a vibrant community accompanied by so much diversity; with the people, academics, and society. Despite the fact that Rutgers University; whether it's the New Brunswick, the Newark or the Camden campus seems to have a lot of offer, I believe that I have just as much to present
My purpose and goals in attending college is to make something of my life. It is a good thing. No one wants to be a nobody. But sometimes it takes time in order for one to realize this. & nbsp; Upon graduation from high school, I, like the majority of others high school graduates, had no clue what direction my life was heading or even what I wanted to become.
Diversity and Inclusion are important to the University of Toledo’s campus because they don’t just serve to one ethnicity, they serve to many.
