I am against abortion because they can be very dangerous to the health of women. I believe there is a safer alternative to abortion. Abortion goes against the moral values of my religion and cultural background.
Abortion is the process of ending a pregnancy by removing or killing the fetus inside a pregnant woman. There are various ways in which one can do this process; by medical, surgical, or physical procedures. The medical process includes taking various drugs to end the pregnancy over a period of time. The surgical process includes injecting sharp tools in order to physically wound the fetus thus instantly ending its life. The physical process includes causing physical trauma to ones pregnant body.
There are many physical and psychological effects of abortions. Physical complications may include excess bleeding, many different infections, or permanent cervical damage. These physical effects can cause problems for future pregnancies. The psychological effects behind an abortion re very emotional. Many women go through a deep depression because they can not cope wit...
There can be no justification or reason given for being pro-choice - pro-death. Every child is created with a purpose from God. “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; And I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5)
In conclusion having the right to choose to me is the best way to go. No one should have the right to tell another person what she should do with her own body. I am pro-choice.
To those who are unaware of exactly what an abortion is; it is when a pregnant woman has a fetus removed from her womb. This can either happen by induced labor, or by an in office procedure where the woman is put under general anesthesia and the fetus is surgically removed. This procedure usually takes place under a few hours and the patient may be sent home that day.
Abortion: the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus (Psychology in Action 10th ed.)
Abortion is a procedure which allows the legal ending of a child’s life prior to birth. The debate and political fighting it sure to continue for years to come and complete abolition of abortion is far from a reality. However, strides are being made to swing he pendulum in the opposite direction that the Supreme Court sent it with the Roe v. Wade ruling.
What is an abortion? “An abortion is the ending of pregnancy before birth. An abortion cause the embryo or fetus to die” (Jacobs , , and et al 1).”Abortion comes from the Latin word abortio, which means to abort, miscarry . . .. In medicine abortion means . . . [seizing birth] prematurely [as] the Latin word abortus means . . . premature, untimely birth” (“What is an Abortion” 1)
Abortion, by definition, is the termination of a pregnancy by the removal or expulsion from the uterus of a fetus or embryo, resulting in or caused by its death (Abortion). Abortion has been around for years, and is one of the top most discussed issues in America where approximately 1.3 million abortions performed each year (Jensen). Abortion has been an on-going debate throughout all history. The two sides are pro-choice and pro-life. People who are pro-life are against it and the people who are for it are pro-choice. It all began in 1973, the Supreme court made abortion legal, according to the 14th amendment it’s a right to privacy to women. Some women, who are pro-choice, think it’s empowering, because they can do with their body as they please. Others, who are pro-life, think it’s morally and ethically wrong to kill an unborn child. When you choose to get an abortion, you’re choosing to kill an unborn child, medical complications, the man tends to have no say, and theology is influential in making the decision.
The medical definition of abortion is “the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus: a: spontaneous expulsion of a human fetus during the first 12 weeks of gestation—compare miscarriage b: induced expulsion of a human fetus” ("Medline," 2012).

Abortions have been a controversial issue for years. Many states have banned abortions after so long in the gestational age. There are reasons for abortions I can understand, but I just don’t agree. Abortions are an inhumane way to take life God has gifted to us.
Abortion is the termination of a pregnancy by destruction of a fertilized egg, embryo or fetus before birth, prior to the time when the fetus attains viability, or capacity for life outside the uterus (Encyclopedia, 1995, p.43). Currently almost twenty-five percent of pregnancies in the United States are aborted. About one forth of people who abort are teenagers, fifty-seven percent are younger than 25, and almost eighty percent are unmarried. During the first trimester is when most of the abortions take place. Only about ten percent are performed later in the pregnancy (Slife, 1998, p.329). Abortions go back as far as Ancient Greece where it was used as a type of population control. Then in the Roman Times men had total control over the procedure. “Man could give law-enforced command that his wife have an abortion, or he could punish or divorce his wife for having one without his consent” (Encyclopedia, 1995, p.43).
Abortion is the killing and removing the fetus/ embryo before there is any possibilities of it surviving outside of the mother’s uterus. Abortion is the end of a pregnancy that is normally chosen by the mother, but is also known as a miscarriage. Abortions are mostly known as a surgical procedure, this is done multiple ways but all killing the fetus/ embryo. There is a variety of viewpoints on abortion such as through the religious tradition, also from seeing it as a crime to beneficial, this is an on-going debate about abortion.
