Human evolution
Introduction
Human evolution is the growth and adaptions of humans over the six million years we have been on this earth. The reason we have adapted is to increase the chance of our survival. There is a lot of scientific evidence that supports this concept of evolution such as human fossils, natural selection, genetic evidence and major developments in humans over the six million years such as bipedalism. This report will explain the concept of human evolution, give strong scientific evidence to support the concept and give examples for this theory.
Explain the scientific concept
The theory of human evolution is base of the scientific evidence shows that humans have dramatically adapted over the time we’ve been around. Human evolution has been so successful because of our ability to rapidly adapt to the difficulties we encounter in order to survive. Palaeoanthropology, the study of human evolution is the most important science discussion the world has ever known because it is the key to how and why our bodies have morphed from the Ardipithecus stage to what we are now (homo sapiens). The genetic code of an organism can be changed when it is passed on to offspring. Mutations can occur when this process happens much like the hammer head shark’s head. These mutations can either thrive and create a better organism or destroy its occupant.
Discuss evidence for theory
There is loads of evidence that supports the theory that explains a lot about how we are the way we are. Human fossils have shown that lots of parts of our body have adapted. The main ones being our skulls and spines. Our skulls have changed due to discovery of fire and cooked food which meant we no longer need large strong jaws so our jaws got smaller. A...

Interesting facts
- Bipedalism is the aptitude to walk on two feet. It was a huge development in humans as it allowed us to have two free hands which is believed to be what led to the making of tools. This turned into a spiral of new advantages in our evolution and is definitely one of the reasons Homo sapiens have survived so successfully.
- Humans once were facing extinction due to an environmental disaster. Human population decreased from an estimated two million to around three thousand.
- Humans are still evolving according to scientist Homo sapiens and nowhere near finishing our evolution process. In fact it is believed that human brains are shrinking due to the lack of need for extra mass because human brains are becoming more efficient.
