What makes us tick?

Whatever it is that causes us to do what we do; on occasion leads us into deep trouble.

It is possible to ignore the less than desirable results of our actions for a time. We can put the bad experience down to the luck of the game. Being misunderstood could be in with a chance. Maybe ‘maybe,’ but time is running out.

The hard fact is that each one of us is totally responsible for the outward flow from our brains (as in what we do and or say) even our thoughts can be projected.

When the damage is evidenced we regret what we have done. Sometimes as the words come out of our mouth we are aware, but we cannot stop the destructive flow.

We are out of control, and at this time we are running on automatic. That is out of control of our own brain, a potentially dangerous situation, don’t you think?

Where does this automation come from?

Basically it is a rehash of our conditioning that we absorbed from our principle teachers from birth. We are programmed to respond in a certain way to a given set of conditions.

As an adult it is a mindless response to a situation that may have only a slight resemblance to the original.

Accepting that where you are or will be is the result of our own decision-making is hard because the opportunity to blame someone else is eliminated.

It means that you have to look within yourself for all the answers.

To get more control we need some knowledge about how the br...

In fact, whatever it is you believe could be wrong! However if you believe in yourself you will create an exception.

The reason for this is that it is you, and you alone who are responsible for you.

No one else can run your brain, except and unless you abdicate your personal responsibility.

We could begin with me telling you what to do, but that would be contrary to my code.

What I choose to do is to break out various human emotions, with which you may identify. I go on to explain the cause and effect of those emotions, and discuss how you might avoid the repercussions associated with them.

Since this is in book form the emotions are listed in a lineal way. However they are not listed by their importance.

For this reason headings are by emotion and each section is complete. You may choose to read these in your preferred order or not at all.
