Abstract Web development is a fast growing form of artistic expression that uses computer programming and technical writing skills to create Web sites. Web developers earn an appealing salary that increases as specialized skills are introduced. Formal education and training play a vital role in the preparation and experience of a developer. A survey indicates that most companies today have a Web site and need the skills of developers. Legal issues for developers and employers are introduced. The steps needed to follow a career choice in Web development are outlined. Recommendations and educational needs are discussed. For high school students, this career focuses on aspects of the Web development industry from programming to graphics. Web Development Project I propose to reflect how the fast growing industry of Web development offers a creative and diverse opportunity to work in a field that fulfills the needs of the employers of today. I will address why Web development is a dynamic career choice for high school students, and how to get started in this career. Almost all successful companies have a working Web site and depend on it for supplying everything from information to the actual purchase of products and services. The needs of these employers are fulfilled by Web developers who are trained to not only publish Web sites, but to create a vibrant presentation that supplies information and services to their clients. The Web site we need did not magically appear; it was the detailed work of a skilled Web developer. My interest in Web development came from experience learning to design and build my own personal Web site. It is an outlet that allowed me to combine computer skills and creativity. I enjoyed the creative a... ... middle of paper ... ...nces Adobe launches software for technical writers. (2007, September 25). The first piece of technology that was introduced to me was the amazing, ground-breaking GameBoy created by Nintendo. My parents believed that my obsession with video games in my juvenile years would be the cause of my downfall when I would become an adult with no job, no money, and still lived with my parents. I admit that I did have an addiction in the beginning, but over the years it moderated as I became more attracted to what was actually done to develop the devices and programs that once ensnared me. Enrolling into a vocational high school, I selected Programming & Web Development as my choice of trade in order for me to learn more about this extraordinary field of science. Soon I began compiling my own applications, but with a method unorthodox compared to my classmates; I believed that the vivid aesthetics and simple navigation displayed on applications were just as crucial as the tediously compiled, intricate code virtually hidden underneath. With every annual keynote that was broadcasted from numerous Silicon Valley companies, their latest innovations constantly entertained my curiosity. Advancing as an upperclassmen, I entered into challenging courses and incessantly researched innumerable universities as I began to devise a plan of recruitment for the companies of the Bay Area. Enrolling into a university that is passionate about the

The transition from Web 1.0 to Web 2.0 ushered in major paradigms shifts in the software industry. Software evolved from being a licensed product to being a subscribed web service. Development efforts slid from the tight control of specialists, for example systems analysts and programmers, towards a collaborative project between end users and technology experts. Learners are now required to teach themselves and teachers are there to facilitate the learning process. The dissemination of knowledge and wisdom would gravitate away from the puritanical filters of rigorous scholastic scrutiny towards a mashed-up crowd sourced assembly such as Wikipedia. Personal websites would now encompass a social networki...
In the world of web design there are many different programs that people use. The two most common, and most controversial, are Microsoft Frontpage (FP) and Macromedia Dreamweaver(DW). In this report we will be discussing the pros and cons of each, comparing the two in detail, and resolving the issue of which is better.
While comparing and contrasting between my career choices as either, a video game designer, or as a computer support technician, the requirements for both, aren’t very different, The soft and hard skills required for these jobs include teamwork, communication, basic computer knowledge, and a college degree. I examine, in detail, these two careers, and while doing so, determine which of them I want to commit to.
The chosen subject of choice is programming. The main reason for choosing programming is because ultimately I would like to be able to extend my knowledge on website development. I will learn the programming language php and incorporate it into web pages.
My earliest memory of career goals were in elementary school where I wanted to be a pediatrician. This would remain my goal until age thirteen when I designed my first webpage and began operating a successful e-commerce website. I had quickly learned about the power of computers – they simplified previous processes so much that a thirteen year old could operate a successful business. I was hooked and was driven to learn all that I could to unlock more of the seemingly limitless potential of computers. In high school I pursued certifications in computer networking and hardware until finally my intellectual curiosity led me to the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business where I majored in Management Information Systems and Economics.
In the middle of 2000s, a new trend started, the web started transforming from static documents linked together into an interactive publishing platform. Suddenly, visitors could leave comments on the web, create accounts on various services a...

My career choices have changed through the years from mother and housewife through architect, accountant, or teacher, finally I have arrived at a computer career. The following is an idea of the path I have followed.
Having a website is a necessity nowadays, especially for people who are in business. Having a website helps promote your company’s services, for consumers to view and research your products easily, and also because internet is universal, people worldwide could purchase your products. Aside from business purposes, a website could also be built for personal use. If you’re into blogging, you can have your own site to express everything you want or feel; a website could also be used to inform people. Due to technology’s fast evolution, creating a website is now a very simple task even for those who have no background in web designing, all you need is a working computer and an internet connection and you’re ready to create your very own site!
