Birds are commonly known as the Most birds fly and have feathers. Most species of birds take long migrations annually. Some birds have become extinct or are close to extinction due to harmful activities. Birds are mostly affected by oil spills, climate change, and pollutants.
The environment of Earth such as plants and animals are harmed by air pollution. Occasionally it is the pollutants that produce the environmental damage. But sometimes they merge and alter the assets that plants and animals need to survive like water, soil, and nutrients. Air pollutant like sulfuric acid mix with the water molecules that clouds are made of, the water molecules turn acidic. When these droplets of liquid collapse to the ground in the form of rain or snow, the water’s acidity can possess a harmful affect on the environment. Acid rain murders trees and hurt animals such as fish and other animals. Acid rain demolishes the leaves of plants. Chemistry of the soil is altered causing it to be unhealthy for living things that need soil for nutrition or their environment. Chemistry of the lakes and rivers that the water of rain go through are also affected by acidic rain which also harms fish and other marine life. Air pollutants are named as chlorofluorocarbons. They are in the stratosphere and demolish ozone molecules. Resulting in areas that are affected that have a thin ozone layer which are referred to as ozone holes. The ozone layer which is positioned in the Earth’s atmosphere where the stratosphere is, protects earth from ultraviolet radiation that is produced from the sun. This can cause skin cancer and be harmful to plants and animals. The amount of chlorofluorocarbons that are let go into the air have been less remarkably in recent decades a...

Growing up near the Chesapeake Bay, I was bombarded with guest speakers since elementary school about protecting the environment. I knew what an ecosystem was by fifth grade, and in seventh grade our class went on a class trip to Smith Island and Port Isabel in the Chesapeake Bay for more intensive education about how humans are connected to ecosystems. Water and ecosystems are important to public health all over the globe, as water touches all of our lives. And when this water is contaminated by oil, many global health issues are caused, but these problems to health may be worth the profits gained from oil.
The main reason today is the destruction of the rain forest and habitat. As there are not enough nesting sites, these parrots cannot breed. Another reason, of course, is the capture of Macaw Parrots for the pet trade. In the 1980s over one million parrots were reported captured in South and Central America to be sent to the United States, plus many more for Europe and Asia. So the most important problems that these birds face are: habitat loss and wildlife trade.
April, 20th 2010; The Gulf of Mexico was exquisite, marvelous, and teeming with life. An ominous and enormous drilling rig cruised across the sea. The vessel was collectedly searching for oil. The crew found a massive oiling spot, buried underneath the ocean. The crew hastily begins drilling without safety precautions, ignoring local wildlife and habitats nearby. After eliciting oil from underneath the ocean; the crew recklessly begun siphoning cement into the gaping hole. Suddenly, a vociferous boom arises from the ocean floor; the malodorous scent filled the air, as heaps of oil drifted to the surface. This oil polluted oblivious animals, looming coral and trees, and alluring shores; turning the once exquisite coast into a mung, oily marsh. Do you want more oil-based catastrophes such as the BP Oil Spill, to continue ratifying the environment?
The 2010 BP oil spill ultimately affected both people and the environment, polluting and damaging large areas and vast populations of wildlife. The BP oil spill caused took a toll on marine life, human life, and the economy, including the fishing and tourism industry in the Gulf of Mexico. Many factors such as Petroleum toxicity, oxygen depletion, and much more can be viewed as the major sources of the disaster which led to the negative impact on wildlife. It is very clear that an oil spill is recognized to be a disaster for both for people and the environment, any tragedy of this scale would clearly bring forth regulations that will attempt to prohibit the same calamity from happening again.
Pollution is a massive problem, due to burning excessive amounts of fossil fuels and produces global warming. The rising in temperature of earth has resulted huge melting of polar ice caps, flooding of low-lying areas, and also rise in sea levels. If these conditions conquer the surface of earth it will face radical changes. Hence, the ozone holes are also being created trough this process, that creates a harmful UV rays that enters the earth surface. Apparently it affect human life trough causing diseases like cancer. Melanin that present in the skin reacts trough these high wave radiations. Skin cancer is one of the major forms of disease that known to be caused due to these reactions of the pigment present in the skin and infra-red rays. Besides that, when burnt sulphur, dioxide gas will also be produced. This factor forms acid rain. Acid rain could leads to destructions of most of monuments that were made up of brickwork or marbles. Even a lot of crops are affected due to the acidification of loams.
Along with being aware about air pollution, we should also be aware about ozone concentrations and fossil fuel burning. The public should be concerned with ozone concentrations because they are constantly increasing. Ozone levels are increasing because of the heat and pollution. The public should be informed on how to reduce pollution and heat. Some steps the public can take to reduce pollution are to use public transportation and electric vehicles, conserve energy and recycle. Moreover, planting more plants will reduce heat and decrease ozone levels. Ozone is considered “bad” when found in the lower troposphere because it leads to many health effects in humans. Breathing ozone can cause bronchitis, emphysema, and asthma. Therefore, humans should stay indoors in the afternoon during the summer months. “Bad” Ozone also damages our crops and forests, affecting our food chain and the economy. Ozone is considered “good” in the Stratosphere because it protects us from dangerous ultraviolet rays released by the sun. Ozone in the Stratospheres protects us from conditions such as skin cancer and cataracts. Furthermore, ozone in the atmosphere protects our crops, thus playing

One of the bad effects was the spill of the oil in the open ocean. The oil spill in water affected the environment killed so many water animals and it also affected the people who are living on the shoreline. The oil has polluted the water and now that water can’t be used to for any purpose. It also affected to the shoreline which was connected to the gulf water. The oil spill reached the shore and people can’t go near the affected area because of its hazards affects and it also causes skin diseases and many other problems. The spill also damaged so many small tropical islands in the area. It is also
Oil spills don't have a good impact on humans and the environment. There are many ways this problem has affected us. For example, when the BP oil spilled in the Gulf of Mexico, the fishermen there couldn't
The ecological effects to the wetlands and the Gulf of Mexico were substantial. Once oil invades an ecosystem, depending on how heavy the amount has accumulated, the exposure can destroy that area. Wetlands and estuaries are very susceptible to oil. The immediate damage is devastating, however the long term effects on the system may completely destroy that wetland area or estuary (Copeland and Corn
The author of “Short-term Effects of an oil spill on marsh-edge fishes and decapod crustaceans” Agatha- Marie F. Roth and Robert W. Dicky author of “FDA risk assesment of seafood contamination after BP oil spill” both agree on the fact that oil spills harm marine ecosystems. In Roth's article she explains that the interaction of oil, decapods, and crustaceans in spatial and temporal ecosystems is damaging not only to the environment but also to the organisms that live there (565 Roth). This example from Roth’s article conveys the fact that there is an effect to marine ecosystems. The unknown however is the severity of the damage caused by oil spills, which both Roth and Dicky agree upon. Unlike Roth, Dicky is more focused on the risk this poses to human health rather than the ecosystem. Dicky explains that there is a health risk posed to humans that consume fish that have been in contact with oil and have retained hydrocarbons from the oil. He discusses a research case by the FDA where they did an

Oil spills can harm the wildlife, and even the people too. Most of the time, terrorist attacks and equipment malfunctions are the cause of oil spills. Leaks stretch for miles, covering a large amount of water, as well as washing up on shores, making it a threat to several species. These spills can contaminate bodies of water and smother cold-blooded animals, causing them to die from lack of control over their body temperatures. In the article, “Oil Spill Remediation Efforts In The Middle East,” “Such a large amount of oil spread over such a large area poses a serious environmental hazard to air, land, and ground water resources as well as to humans” (Kostreba). Leilani Kostreba explains how spills can be destructive and hazardous to the Earth, suffocating wildlife, as well as polluting the atmosphere. Crude oil is having a negative impact on the environment, disrupting the earth, and harming
Birds have direct and indirect economic and cultural values for people. Birds are important for a lot of reasons. Birds provide us food, medicine, fertilizers and also bring about pollinations. They are important because they are a part of the food chain. Birds are also important because they help spread seeds around and thus help with the planting process. Birds also perform vital ecological role, besides their economical role. They are critical links within the fast food chains and webs that exist in the ecosystem. The economic importance of birds can be studied into two parts – A) Beneficial effect B) Harmful effect.
