Voltaire and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Influences During the Age of Enlightenment

The age of enlightenment was a time period in which many people wanted to make society better and inform people about how one can improve his/her society. The age of enlightenment took place in the years 1700s to 1800s. During the age of enlightenment, many people wanted to gain knowledge about their society and humanity. Intellectuals spent most of their time gathering information about humanity and how to improve their society and lifestyle. Voltaire and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart were two enlightened figures. Voltaire fits into the age of enlightenment because he was against religion and class division. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart believed there should be equality and independence around the world. Voltaire had a bigger impact during the age of enlightenment because he was more involved and dedicated to inform society. On the other hand Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart did impact society but not as straight forward as Voltaire. Therefore, Voltaire and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart are two enlightened figures with opposing views. However, Voltaire had a bigger impact throughout the enlightenment.

To begin with, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born January 27, 1756, and died December 5, 1791 in Austria. Mozart was a piano and music writer, and he created operas and became famous when he was just the age of ten. Mozart wanted more equality and independence. Mozart was able to express his concerns in his music, operas, and writings during the age of enlightenment. Mozart was a self-employed artist during this period of confusion and thus he became emancipated, independent and revolutionary.
