Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye
When I was younger, I loved to watch cartoons. Although I watched many cartoons, there was one cartoon in particular that caught my attention the most.
This cartoon was a science fiction story about robotic lifeforms called The
Transformers.
At that time, The Transformers was the most exciting and important thing in my life. It came on everyday, and I tried not to ever miss an episode. If I knew I would miss an episode, I made sure I had someone record it for me so I could watch it later. I even recorded many shows just to be able to watch them over and over again.
One day when I was away somewhere, I had my mother record it for me.
After returning home, I immediately began to view the tape only to find out that the tape ran out about half way though the show. I remember I was so incredibly angry over not being able to completely watch the episode, that I threw a childish tantrum by crying and yelling at my poor mother.
I later began buying The Transformers action figures; which were developed by Hasbro from the television series. Over the years, I accumulated a collection of about thirty different characters; which I still have stored in my room. I don't think I could ever get rid of them. Also, each Transformer came with a stat card on the back of the box he was sold in that described his various skills and attributes. I used to always cut these stat cards from the back of the boxes, and tape them onto large sheets; which I hung on my bedroom wall. Along with the action figures, I also had Transformer books and
Transformer bedsheets. I couldn't get enough of the Transformers. I saw about every episode, and I knew about everything there was to know about them.
The Transformers were intelligent robots with the ability to transform from a robot shape to some other shape. The very first Transformers were the
Autobots and the Decepticons. The Autobots, who transformed into cars, were the heroes, while the Decepticons, who transformed into jets, were the villains.
The two groups originated over a millennia ago. A race called the
Quintessons were the heads of a huge galactic corporation. They built the planet of Cybertron into a huge factory in which to build robotic slaves. They created two basic models: household and entertainment robots, and warrior robots.
Whenever one to the slaves began to show signs of intelligence, the Quintessons destroyed them to be used as materials for new robots being created.
...t years of the war started after 1980, and ended in 1992 with the Peace Treaty of Chapultepec, Mexico. This treaty did not bring the desired peace and progress to El Salvador. Instead, the fight continued in a way of political opposition without arms. The revolutionary forces became a political party that represents the rights of the workers. The right wing party, which was originally founded by D’aubuisson, stayed in power until the elections of 2009. The popular sectors of El Salvador still face extreme poverty and oppression caused by large companies. The church continues its work with the poor but in a more limited and conservative way. After 30 years of the death of Romero, the Salvadoran Church remembers him as the hero of the oppressed and the voice of the voiceless and cries on the fact that the church was never the same after the death of its major leader.
The Central American country of Guatemala fought a bloody civil war for over 36 years. The internal conflict began in November of 1960 and did not end until December of 1996. The key players that fought where the Guatemalan government and the ethnic Mayan indigenous people that where extremely leftist compared to the Guatemalan government. The indigenous persons where joined by other non-government forces known as the Ladino peasantry and other rural poor. This civil conflict would escalate to a bloody series of events that inevitably would see the Guatemalan government regime held responsible for acts of genocide and other human rights violations.
In the year 1948 Colombia, was plagued by social and economic problems, and at the same time embroiled in a political feud between the country's two traditional parties, the Liberals and Conservatives, which led to a ten year civil war dividing the country in two; which was later called “La Violencia” and resulted in a minimum of 200,000 deaths.( Colombia)
The civil war in El Salvador was one of the most destructive combats Central America had ever encountered. It was a settlement between the FMLN and the United States supported Salvadoran regime that led political settlement of El Salvador’s civil war. The full civil war lasted twelve-years

The show ends with the cast telling their stories. Their hope for a bright future is evident.
As the remote and frigid highlands of Guatemala did not provide a significant source of resources, the Spaniards had no economic interest in overtaking that part of the country (Lovell 1988). The fact that the resource lacking highlands of Guatemala remained relatively unscathed by the Spanish is in line with Despres’s thesis that “competition for scarce resources accounts for a great deal of the when and where of ethnic confrontations” (Lovelle 1988: 31). Wealth and new resources are the great motivator of these western colonial powers which is why they can easily disregard indigenous populations. Since the highlands provided no economic incentive, it allowed for the preservation of 21 different Mayan groups which are the only indigenous people in Central America to make up a majority of their country’s population. This allows the Mayans to cultivate “relatively autonomous, isolated, corporate communities” (Pebley 2005: 217).However, it is speculated by Pebley et al. (2005) that the perseverance of the indigenous culture has made them more vulnerable to modern day economic, social and political challenges especially since they can be easily discerned and discriminated against. “Indigenous Guatemalans are faced with the formidable task of finding a place in a commercial, industrializing and urbanizing society…” (Pebley
Reality shows have since become a bit more complicated. Twist and turns have been added in to long, drawn ...
So, it was a pretty good & entertaining episode. Moreover the episode was a useful one in terms of determining & learning how forensic science or forensic science investigators uses various techniques to find out an unknown suspect. It doesn’t matters how safely a criminal performs a crime, there is something somewhere left for the investigators.
Any citizen that did not agree with the government was definitely tortured or killed. We also see in the documentary that many of the deaths took place just to create fear among the people. The soldiers killing their own citizens did themselves not know the reason for such horrific crimes but had to commit them as if not they would be killed like everyone else. Death squads were used throughout the war to create terror, which forced thousands of Guatemalans to relocate out their houses into the valleys and even into other
As this genocide was going on, many of the people would either flee or hide, trying to get away from anyone and everyone that would kill them. Most women had been beaten and killed. Out of every one that had been killed, there were five hundred thousand people that had been murdered (PBS). There was fifty thousand
Watching a comedy sitcom like The Cosby Show is a great way to unwind from a stressful day at school. The show's characters are likeable and the storyline is humorous, but halfway through the program I usually turn the television off and return to the kitchen to wash the dinner dishes. Watching The Cosby Show makes me feel guilty. The Huxtables are too perfect. Their house is too perfect. In comparison to the Huxtables I feel like an unfit mother in a slovenly, dysfunctional family. The characters on The Cosby Show should be portrayed in a more realistic manner; in fact, the program could be far more entertaining, not to mention relaxing, if certain aspects of the program such as weekday mornings, sibling quarrels and housework were made more believable.
Have you ever sat and thought deeper into a Television Show that you watched when you
revealed the wild earth around us, and I had made my entire family watch it with me for the subsequent month.
Being a teenager is a lot of fun especially when you do not have many responsibilities. A teenager watching other teenagers lose most of their freedom gives them an eye opening experience. These shows provide a lot of educational information and teach serious life lessons. Although it may seem easygoing to teenagers, teenage childhood has a lot of sad and scary moments that most are not yet ready for.
