I would definitely recommend this book for a friend to read! I really liked this books cause it has lots of action in it and when there isn’t any action happening, it’s just building up to some more action. I also liked this book because you really get to know the characters and everything is very detailed, especially the war scenes. The most important reason I like this book has to be because of all the action.
The setting of this story takes place in a field where Tammo, the main character, is fighting imaginary enemies wishing he could join the infamous league of fighting hares known as the Long Patrol. Tammo is a young hare that has the blood of many fighting hares running you’re his veins. Tammo’s father is Colonel Cornsburry Tussock and is very strict and he leads his wife to help Tammo run away to join the Long Patrol. Russa Nodrey helps Tammo do this. Russa is a traveling squirrel that knows more about the country than any other beast alive. Damug Warfang is a great rat that had to fight his brother to the death so he could become the firstblade, ruler of the Rapscallion hoard and is giving up their pirate ways and marching them inland. Meanwhile the Long Patrol’s leader Major Perigord is the most feared saber fighter there is. Him and the Long Patrol are all skilled fighting beasts that come from Salamandastron, the badger mountain by the sea. The ruler of Salamandastron is Lady Cregga Rose Eyes. She’s called Rose Eye’s because while she is in battle he eyes are red with blood wrath; some call it a disease because it makes its victim bloodthirsty and do anything to kill their enemy. At the famous Redwall Abbey Arven, Redwall’s champion, and the Skipper of Otters are faced with a very serious problem; the south wall surrounding the abbey is collapsing! All of these characters meet up with each other to do battle, with the teams being Damug versus all!
Fans of the novel found that the way the novel is written, you never want to put it down and the action keeps things moving and is quite entertaining. The novel pulls you in and makes you love each of the main characters in it. This is a great series for anyone to read, and it is audience friendly for whoever reads them. There is quite a bit of suspense that will make the novel exceed readers 's expectations, and the twists and turns keeps you guessing and lets nothing be predictable. Some like the way this group of people bands together when they really need to and keep things together so they can all stop the
There are several things that I like about this book. First off, I love historical fiction, and this is the genre of this book. Also, despite the author being too descriptive, the book went at a steady pace. For me, pace usually determines whether I will read the book or not, and I never really hesitated, or thought about changing books.
I would recommend this book to a friend because this book is a great book all around. This book has good suspense even though it might seem like a kids book.
I would recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys historical fiction books where the characters learn life-altering lessons. I also feel that people of all ages would enjoy this book because it’s messages and theme was very positive. While I did enjoy this book, I think I will not be reading another historical fiction novel for my upcoming book response.
This was a great book and I would definitely recommend it to anyone, but I would suggest that you read Bzrk first. I loved every part of this book for many reasons and I have nothing bad to say about the book as a whole. It is extremely intriguing to read, but can be a little gruesome at some points. I also think it was relatively easy book to read and to keep track of what is going on throughout the story. I hope you decide to read it someday.
...Never have I read a book that actually picked me up, and placed me into the book. This book actually took me into a battle, then to a quiet town, then into the battle again. Sometimes Brooks even got me to feel the ambiance or mood of certain things or places. Never has a book done that to me. I don’t think I would recommend it for a student looking for comedy, or a laugh, but I would recommend it to everyone else. This book covers tons of different genres, in a matter of a chapter or two. This book has captured me enough to continue reading the trilogy of Shannara.
I would recommend this book to those people who like to read science fiction books. I like this book because it always kept you hanging and always made you want to keep reading ahead. The only bad thing is that this book is one of those books where the story does not end the quest that the boy is on doesn’t get finished so u have to by the book to find out what happens next.
Although I liked the flow of action in this novel, a large number of superfluous characters are introduced in the first part of the book that never get fully fleshed out. Some of the characters more integral to the story also seemed a little shallow in their presentation.
This book is a must read for each and every one who has an open mind to what extent and reality the world could come to or to someone who would love to enjoys a fantastic dystopian world in the book. I personally loved this book and the rest of the series and I would love to read it over and over again so that I can relive and go through various emotions that the character in the book went through.
All in all, this novel is a good read, so long as the reader takes the time to think about everything that goes into it.
My overall opinion of this book is good I really liked it and recommend it to anyone. It is a good book to read and it keep you interested throughout the whole book.
I really enjoyed this book because it was not a story about the middle of the Second World War. Instead it was right before, when things were not as bad, but they were bad enough. It helped me understand how people lived before the hatred grew and how families were torn apart right from the beginning. Likewise, it gave me hope to see that not everything was destroyed and that some people were able to escape. I would recommend this book more for boys but for girls as well, between the ages of 13-15. Even though Karl’s age throughout the book is 14-17, the novel was written more for my age group. Once again this was an amazing book that I could not put down, and I am sure many others were not able to either.
If someone were to ask me whether or not they should read this book I would tell them to definitely read it but to be patient because most of the action does not take place until close to the end of the story. I was impressed with the humor that Atwood displays but also the drama that affects humanity. I will probably look into reading some of her other books to see what other novels she has produced and see what she had to offer.
I would recommend this book to anybody, it appeals any audience. It's a wonderful story
Personally, this book felt like a stern documentation of the lives of people in Afghanistan than a leisure novel. This book isn’t for everyone due to the heavy and hideous illustration it presents. Though I did not enjoy the morbid history context of the book, I would definitely recommend it because it tugged at my heart string. Personally the stories I like are most often true stories, the ones that hit the hardest. While reading the novel, It did give me an awareness that not all things in life are innocent and pure and that I should cherish my life since I’m in a haven from war and violence. There are always highs and lows in life, and truthful writing comes the best when you are vulnerable. In this book, I saw it in Khaled Hosseini’s writing, I saw how he described his home town get trampled by war and I saw how his people get murdered by politics. For me I really liked this
