The Qualitative Report in that a narrative of qualitative and critical inquiry also rejects absolute, finality, and authority and embraces ambiguities, uncertainties, and diversities of human experience. Just as talk of qualitative and critical reflection is a multiversed experience, so too is talk about that talk: What are possible and impossible shapes and forms of a twelve or so page publication dedicated to re- presenting a phenomenon which seems to resist and to tease con-formity? To that question there is no answer; and thus begins a journal.

One certainty, at least so far, for The Qualitative Report is the choice of the written word as foil for contributors in an on-going discussion juxtaposing created form, possibly extant studies or somewhat-held positions and ideologies, with diagnoses of that preexisting created form, which may be in shapes of reactions, musings, misgivings, and even inspired non sequiturs. Through the wonders of time, acts devoted to diagnosing created form evolve into another created form, which in turn becomes fair game for new and subsequent perusals, evocations, and invocations. Let us get nearer to the fire, so that we can see what we are saying.

Papers, poems, and paragraphs; fragments, figments, and well-formed arguments; butts, rebuts, and re-rebuts are all desired and appreciated in an attempt to create a journalistic form somewhat in the shape of collage:

While reading Mark Drolsbaugh’s Deaf Again where he wrote about his experiences with becoming postlingually deaf, I realized that I was able to relate to some of the situations he encountered, especially when he spoke of his frustrating childhood due to his disability. As he grew older, he needed to find new ways to cope with and accept his deafness. Because of his unique viewpoint with deaf parents who were not allowed to sign around him, the book gave readers a different perspective to look at deafness with. Drolsbaugh’s personal account of his life was inspirational as he grew up with a truly exceptional situation, yet was able to overcome his obstacles and become successful after he quit denying who he really was.
The book, ‘Alone in the Mainstream,’ is a collection of interviews spliced together thematically with parallels to the author 's life. It covers everything from Teachers, good and bad, to friends, bullies, classes and all other parts of growing up. The common theme gluing them all together is not solitude as the book states, but difference felt by the interviewee or the author. Several of the sections, namely the ones about great teachers and great friends, show that deaf people are not alone, but that their experience is vastly different.
Indisputably, Mary Wollstonecraft was one of the most influential figures of Enlightenment, also considered the ‘first feminist’. It is certain that her works and writing has influenced the lives of many women and altered the outlook of some societies on women, evolving rights of women a great deal from what they used to be in her time. It is clear that Wollstonecraft’s arguments and writing will remain applicable and relevant to societies for many years to come, as although there has been progression, there has not been a complete resolution. Once women receive so easily the freedom, rights and opportunities that men inherently possess, may we be able to say that Wollstonecraft has succeeded in vindicating the rights of women entirely.

During this era, women do not have many rights as a citizen, nor as a human being. Women are expected to perform household duties, such as cooking, cleaning, raising children, and being completely submissive to their husband. However, one woman had a different opinion of what a woman is capable of doing, and her name is Mary Wollstonecraft. Mary believed that woman should be treated equally as men, in the manner of education, respect, and status.

Mary Wollstonecraft’s (1759-1797) famous work, A Vindication of the Rights of Woman, originally published in 1792, is often considered to be a founding work of the liberal feminist movement. In it, Wollstonecraft sets out her beliefs that if women were given equal treatment to men and afforded the same opportunities, there would no longer be a difference between the behaviour and abilities of men and women.

Social workers are increasingly recognized as an inevitable part of interdisciplinary teams in addressing the needs of clients who seek for legal remedies and services. The relationship between social work and law has been developing since 1917, when Mary Richmond, an architect of modern social work, acknowledged the role of legal authorities while developing her conceptual model for casework (Forgelson, 1970). Later, Mary Richmond drafted an early social work code of ethics in the early 1920s (Reamer, 1987). However, from the development perspective, all 50 states in the US have passed statutes requiring professionals from certain disciplines, including social work and law, to report any abuse or crime happened in the past or is going to happen in the nearest future if there are good reasons to believe that is true. Dubose and Morris (2005) stated that very few states passed similar mandatory reporting statutes for attorneys. It is not surprising that only a few states accepted these statutes because of the presence of the attorney-client privilege statute, which is true for all states. Due to differences in the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct and NASW Code of Ethics, professionals from the respective disciplines may have conflicts while both provide social and legal support to the same client from a domestic violence organization. There are two main reasons that allow the tension to happen, social workers are mandatory reporters of child abuse and neglect but lawyers, on the contrary, have an ethical responsibility to maintain client confidentiality (Taylor, 2006).

I believe that from a general sense, all people need and crave social interaction and emotional fulfillment. From the beginning of childhood, human beings thrive off personal contact with others. They learn through these interactions, which begin to help shape who they are and who they want to become. Every human being has a different purpose in his or her own life. Some may seek professional success or social status. They may have the desire to attain a position leadership that perhaps seeks to help others. No matter what the case, most people do have one thing in common: the basic desire to be accepted and love.
