Sketchers Advertising
Advertising is used to inform people about products for sale and to encourage people to buy them. It is a way of telling people about different products that companies are selling. Things are advertised differently depending on whether they are in the newspaper, on television, on the radio or in magazines. The purpose of advertising is to encourage people to buy that particular product rather than another product. There are different forms of advertising. These are: industry and commerce, to sell goods and services and to give information about a certain product. Organizer of event, this is to promote events such as the cinema, theatre, and charity events.
Political party, this is to win support on votes, to lobby government.
Educational establishments. Which are to advertise colleges and universities. There are also other forms of advertising such as: charity, media, government and private individual. There are also many pros and cons of advertising. The pros are that the advertisements bring the prices down because it encourages competition and increases sales. It gives people information about goods and services. The cons are that it persuades people to spend money on things they don’t really want or need, and they interrupt television programmes, and fill up page after page of magazines.
I have looked at the ‘sketchers’ footwear advertisement that I found in a J-17 magazine. The ‘Sketchers’ advertisement is on a plain blue background and takes up a whole double page spread. They have used
Britney Spears to advertise the footwear so that people are encouraged to buy them because they think that Britney wears them and they want to be like her. On the first half of the advert there are two pictures of Britney Spears, the ‘Sketchers’ logo, the website address and the words ‘Sketchers USA Footwear’. The website was put on the advert to make people go onto the site and look at more of their shoes. They include these pictures of Britney spears to make the trainers more appealing to the audience to make people try and buy their shoes. On the other half of the advertisement there are two more pictures of
Britney Spears.
The product is ‘Sketchers’ footwear, the brand name and company is
‘Sketchers’ and there is no slogan. The logo is the letter ‘S’ in a oval shape. The outline of the logo is white, the inside is red and the letter ‘S’ is white. The target audience is teenage girls and women up to the age of about thirty, possibly a bit older. The purpose of this advert is to encourage people to choose their product of
There are several aspects to the layout of this advertisement. Women, regardless of age, tend to be drawn to the use of beautiful, younger women in an arrangement, which makes this design effective. Firstly, Taylor Swift (the young woman in the picture) has been properly dressed so that the lip-gloss she is using matc...
In her example, she speaks of how this advertisement reestablishes the idea of loving your body. Women have curves, they have hips, they have thighs. In the Nike advertisement it makes the [consumer] feel proud of their strong, athletic body (Haley pg 108). The woman in the Playtex display has the ideal body type of a runner. This model is strong, and she has the body of an athlete. Just like any runner, and most female athletes, her strengths are hidden. With lean muscle brought upon by playing sports, women often do not look as strong as they really are. Under those tights, she has “thunder thighs”. She has calves and shins of steel from keeping her toes up. She has a sculpted upper back from swinging her arms and keeping her shoulders relaxed. She has and unbelievably strong core from reaching her legs out in each stride, and holding her body
Neo-formality components and its structures had a couple of characterizing attributes, for example, clean exquisite lines and an uncluttered presence. The perfect of neo-established structural engineering started as a response to the abundance of Baroque style and its deco. As the course and qualities of the neo-traditional moved to an effortlessness and calm qualification it came to be inclination. They both had a solid effect in today's planner plans. The impacts that they both had were diverse impacts in craft particularly in construction modeling. Symmetry rules this style with involved entryways.
The close up look of the woman help you see the beauty in the model and how the mascara makes it appealing to the world who is watching. The advertisement is about the female appearance and how it will attract the women’s attention. Many of the ads shows different shades and dramatizes its long lasting effect of the product being used. Maybelline has a mascara called Illegal mascara, its length make’s the eyes look longer that it looks illegal
If accurate, this is a debilitating criticism of Kant’s moral theory as he had intended it. Mill’s critique instead classifies Kant’s moral theory as a type of rule utilitarianism. Any action under Kant’s theory is tested as a general rule for the public, and if the consequences are undesirable, then the general rule is rejected. “Undesirable consequences” are, according to the more precise language of Mill’s utilitarianism, consequences which are not a result of producing the greatest happiness. Mill’s analysis hinges on the lack of logical contradiction found in Kant’s theory. Without a concrete incongruity, Kant may be no more than a rule utilitarian. However, Mill is mistaken; the Categorical Imperative does produce absolute contradictions, as will be demonstrated through examples.
...cle simply takes over the image used by the advertisement, by exposing the truth behind the beautiful, thin and attractive model.
The models are thin and wearing nice, party dresses, which show a fair amount of skin. This showing of skin creates a fashionable and carefree image. The dresses that the two women wear are tasteful and complement each one individually, adding a sense of appeal to the men and women that are viewing the advertisement. The clothing, fitted to slimmer models, implies that Diet Coke does not cause weight gain. The dresses "promise" the consumer that they will look thinner and more radiant if they drink the product. Also, the Diet Coke advertisement uses thin models to portray that drinking this product is harmless to the body. The slim models compel the viewers to believe that they won 't gain weight if they drink this beverage. If young women see beautiful girls drinking Diet Coke, they 'll want to drink it too, so that they might look as attractive as the models. Meanwhile, the young men who see this advertisement will want to drink a Diet Coke so that they would have a common interest with girls similar to those presented. When an individual sees the image of the two models having a fun time, they associate it with the Coca Cola brand and will want to buy a Diet
This advertisement uses a combination of star power and a simple color scheme to draw viewers in. Most people know who Kim Kardashian is and by showing her having fun, the viewer subconsciously links that to the fun they would have. The black and white shades are all bland when compared to the green color of the bottle, the drink, and Kim's dress. By using the natural color of the drink to show off Kim's dress in the middle of the crowd, tells the viewer that by drinking this liqueur, they will also stand
In the advertisement, there is a woman displayed in a seductive manner, with her legs
...f any obstacles that they might face along the way. By showing that she can have the brains as well as the looks, she encourages young women to try harder to attend high class schools and to understand that with a little bit of extra work they can make it to the top of their area of work. Many women can see this as a trend that can help them achieve anything that they put their minds to. She can increase the amount of women applying for universities and jobs by inspiring them to do more than stay at home as housewives. And though the targeted audience knows that looks aren’t everything, they also know that the image they portray is extremely important in the work environment. Everyone knows that when you look good, you feel good, and having a positive state of mind is always helpful to better your chances of finding a healthy balance in all areas of your life.
A child’s first teacher is his or her mother and father. As a parent, involvement in the education process in the early years includes engaging the child through age appropriate games, regular reading, and simply interacting on a daily basis. A child that is engaged in this way are set up to develop into students who succeed academically. Once that child attends school, parental involvement shows that the parent places value on education. Furthermore, “staying connected to the classroom gives you ideas of how to expand what she learns at school,” (Driscoll & Nagel, 2010) thus providing parents with additional tools to implement in the home to continue the teaching process even after the school day has ended.
Parental involvement promotes the social growth of a child. Children whose parents are involved in their education have many advantages. They have better grades, test scores, long-term academic achievement, attitudes and behavior than those with disinterested mothers and fathers (Gestwicki, 2001). Parents becoming involved in their child's schooling creates extra sources of social constraint to influence the child's behavior (McNeal, 2001). For example, parents talking to their children and becoming involved in the school conveys a message to the child of education being important. Parents should be talking with your children's teacher and letting her know about your family. The more she knows about your child, the better she will be able to connect with your child.
The media favors one women's body type; the tall blonde with perfect, tan skin and long, beautiful hair. Because the images of women in advertisements are unattainable, it keeps them purchasing new products in their quest to be like the models they see (Moore). The actual women in these advertisements can't even match up to the
A lot of children have two main educators in their life; their parents and their teachers. Parents are their first educators, the majority of what a child learns in the first few years of their life is taught by their parents. It is only when the child starts to attend an early years setting that they start to learn from another educator. Both parents and teachers continue being a major influence on their children's learning all throughout school and for the rest of their lives. The parents and the child's school both have important roles to play in the child's education and should therefore work together as a team. Parents can get involved in many different ways such as; getting involved with the school itself by helping in the classroom or supervising lunch and break times, or for those parents who work in the day and cannot find the time to help at the school they can get involved by; reading to their child at home, assisting with homework and other learning activities, teaching them songs or nursery rhymes and letting them help with everyday tasks like cooking, baking and chores. This can be categorised as: Involvement of parents in the school life or involvement of parents in supporting the individual child at home.
