Aristotle on Paideia of Principles
ABSTRACT: Aristotle maintains that paideia enables one to judge the method used by a given speaker without judging the conclusions drawn as well (I.1 De Partibus Animalium). He contends that this "paideia of principles" requires three things: seeing that principles are not derived from one another; seeing that there is nothing before them within reason; and, seeing that they are the source of much knowledge. In order to grasp these principles, one must respectively learn to recognize what distinguishes the subject matters studied in different disciplines, see first principles as coming from experience and acquire the habit of seeking them in one’s experience and, finally, see first principles as being the source of conclusions. While the second and third points might at first seem to pertain to "nous" and science, respectively, rather than to paideia, the case can be made that paideia involves more of a firm grasp of principles than "nous" and a less perfect way of relating conclusion to principles than science.
Aristotle speaks explicitly of paideia of method, the most noteworthy passage being Bk. 1, c. 1 of The Parts of Animals. He also explicitly identifies certain thinkers as lacking paideia this sort of paideia. Paideia of method allows a person to judge the way a speaker is proceeding without for so much being able to judge his conclusions (639a15).
What is less obvious is that Aristotle holds that there is paideia of principles. However, there is one passage which makes this fairly clear (NE 1098b5, cited below). In addition, careful examination of passages where Aristotle calls attention to judgments or misjudgments pertaining to paideia reveals that there is not one but many reasons for calling a method either good or bad, some of which reasons have to do with principles. This can be seen by contrasting the following two cases: Aristotle is critical of ethicists who insist on proceeding solely by demonstration because such rigor is inappropriate to ethical matters (NE 1094b20-28). However, the reason he criticizes Pythagoras for explaining moral virtue in terms of mathematical principles,(1) is that Pythagoras is starting from principles which are inadequate to explaining this matter. Of the two mistakes, that as to the starting point is plainly more serious. Every error as to starting point entails error as to one's subsequent proceeding, but not vice versa.
A principle is always a principle of something, and every method or orderly proceeding has a principle or starting point.
In spite of the fact that Aristotle was a companion and scholar of Plato, he didn't concur with Plato's speculations on ethical quality. In the same way as other Greeks, Aristotle did not have confidence in the presence of inalienably terrible practices.

Have you ever have felt like two completely different people? Dexter Morgan has been throughout his entire life since he was little. As a child, Dexter witnessed his mother’s murder. A cop named Harry Morgan found Dexter in a pool of blood beside his mother’s body. He taught Dexter his “art.” This education by a monster turned Dexter into a monster. His learned skills; both as an investigator and as a killer, drive him from the early seasons of the series. In the beginning, he is driven by a lust for blood and a warped sense of justice. He punishes people he deems worthy of death, killers whom he feels are inferior. He does all this while evading capture and making sure the blood trails never lead back to him. Dexter’s character arc is symbolic of the human struggle to evolve and mature from the monstrous to messianic.
Before beginning to understand how Aristotle is applicable, his viewpoint must be examined, such as his version of voluntary action. As he says in Book III of Nichomachean Ethics “…the terms ‘voluntary’ and ‘involuntary’ are used with reference to the moment of action…because the initiative in moving the parts of the body which act as instruments rests with the agent himself” (p.53). So, a voluntary action is one about which we have power. Such as, what to eat in the morning, brushing teeth or even life altering decisions about jobs and marriage. Most of our everyday actions are voluntary, since we do not often act outside our realm of power.
In any environment where a nurse performs its duties there is a combination of functions. Nurses work as: Health Promoter and Care Provider; Learner and Teacher; Leader and Manager; Patient Advocate; Research Consumer; Colleague and Collaborator. Nursing functions can be also be described by the degree of reliance on other professionals: dependent (based on written orders); independent (when personal judgment comes into play); and interdependent (when the practitioner collaborates with teams and protocols.
Kinesiology is a complimentary therapy used to identify and correct internal issues to relieve stress, allergies, and pain. Being described as a complimentary therapy, kinesiology is not meant to be a cure-all for the patient, but a secondary method of increasing positive results of the original therapy; this method however can be used as a primary or secondary form of therapy depending on the results for the patient and satisfaction with said results. During treatment the doctor tests 14 different areas of muscles balance, these major muscles and how they react are believed to uncover problems that need correction which cannot be found with any other testing (Rude Health).
The best way to look at nursing theories is like the foundational block. Nursing theories are important set the tone of how a nurse will practice. A nurse will use intuition, practice, past expertise and events, and couple with learned theories to work every day in order to give the best patient care. it is all the more important to appreciate what first advanced nursing beyond mechanisms of practice to becoming a knowledge-based force in healthcare: That force is nursing theory and the theoretical thinking and research that generate theory. The complexity and depth of nursing are reflected in its structure of knowledge, which includes discipline-specific components such as philosophies, theories, and research and practice methodologies”( Reed, 2006). Patient care is a wide topic, but a key role in a patient’s care is the patient themselves, an educated patient is vital to their well being and higher level of care.

Dexter is antisocial with a lack of feelings for others, specifically a lack of empathy. “But I warn you, Sergeant, you can 't play on my feelings. This causes him to be untrusting of others and only possess miniscule emotional attachment to his adoptive sister, Debra, and adoptive father, Harry. Many persons go into the healthcare ground because they want to work with people. For these nurses, it is the nurse-patient relationship that is one of the most significant things. By understanding the nurse-patient relationship, nurses can be better furnished to work with their patients and, eventually, deliver superior care for them. Hildegard Peplau's model of nursing emphases on that nurse-patient relationship and recognizes the diverse roles nurses take on when working with patients.

Principles, when constructed properly and followed, help to ensure equal treatment. It answers questions such as: procedural fairness, legality, due process, and value. However, one must consider where the principles come from to carry out these things. Some of these principles come from external laws and rules that govern how we conduct professional business and carry out our responsibilities. Having a strong set of individual principles matters; they make it easier for people to follow and uphold the laws and rules we are bound by in our professional lives.
Nursing began with the reformation by Florence Nightingale. Nursing philosophy, science and research all define the nursing profession. The profession of nursing has advanced because of the concepts of philosophy, science, knowledge, and research. These concepts continue to develop into advanced practice nursing. The nursing process implements critical thinking skills and applies accountability to nursing. Two important philosophical foundations of science are rationalism and empiricism. These strategies help create nursing theories. Philosophy is a set of ideas, beliefs or values. Our own personal values and beliefs must be clear in order to meet the healthcare needs to our patients (Masters, 2017, p. 112). My own personal nursing
