The way we live depends on interaction with other people as well as on
information we receive from the world. We form relationships, some of
which are very bonded so we fall in love. Under the influence of
environment we produce our behaviours. That is we find the best
solutions for what we reoccupy from others and process information in
our ways. Sometimes it is analytical that is we think logically,
sometimes it is heuristic based on our instincts. The second one may
be misleading, but very often there is no time to think. We are also
able to learn and store information that draws our experience and
prevents from making mistakes later on. Studying psychology-‘science
of behaviour’ can give us some clues which we can use to improve our
existence. Thanks to many researches, observations, and previous
experience we are able to survive and exist. But it has to be bear in
mind that there is no simple pattern for leading a good life. ‘Man is
the master of his own destiny.’
First of all, people have tendency to approach each other or in other
words to attract themselves. Psychology helps us to create positive
evaluations, it is being held in high esteem by other people, shows
how we are familiar to others and what similarities among us are. It
also supplies us with information on psychical appearance. Study
conducted by Geller et al. (1974) showed why appropriate evaluation
exerts powerful effect. A female was asked to join group discussion
with other two women-the confederates of the experiment. Confederates
while talking with subjects treated her normally or showed lack of
attention by neglecting what she was saying. Ignored women sho...

cognitive. Finally, people live because of their goals. Everyone has
its ‘mission’ to be accomplished. It cannot be overlooked that it is
not easy to achieve happiness without overcoming many problems.
Psychology will not solve our problems. Instead it helps us to realize
that there are certain types of problems and if we categorise them we
have better chance for success. To sum up, if people think that
‘science of behaviour or mind’ is a key for good life, they will never
become good psychologists or the will not regard psychology as logical
science.
“People are very complex. And for a psychologist, you get fascinated by the complexity of human beings, and that is what I have lived with, you know, in my career all of my life, is the complexity of human beings” - Daniel Kahneman.
Psychology is the study of the mind, its biology, and behavior if the individual. The father of psychology, Wilhelm Wundt, used objective measurement and controlled analyzing to find and emphasize separation between psychology and philosophy (McLeod). Wundt opened the Institute for Experimental Psychology at the University of Leipzig in Germany in 1879, using his background in physiology to study reactions and sensations (McLeod). There is no doubt that he, along with the later help of Sigmund Freud, launched what is now modern psychology. Psychology and its research helped the world understand the inner workings of the mind and how it affects everyone around us.

Psychology is the study of the behavior of living organisms. The people that study the behaviors are called psychologists. There have been many studies done by these people to try and figure out why people or animal do the things they do. Psychology's four main goals are to describe what occurred, explain why it occurred, predict what event is likely to occur next, and to change to prevent unwanted outcomes. Psychologists study the process of thinking, learning, cognition, emotions, motivations, and personalities. An example of one study that has been done would be why a dog salivates to the sound of a bell and show. This behavior is due to a conditioned stimulus becoming a conditioned response. Another experiment done was with a baby and a white mouse to see if the baby would be scared if something happened while grabbing for the mouse.
In addition, the need to survive in a life or death situation navigates people to get through. “I don’t know what made me so supple and strong that day, but I felt no hardship, no

Positive Psychology is the strengths and virtues a person or a community poses that lead to its optimal performance and allow it to thrive. This is a beneficial study that has the chance to improve the lives of many as well as preventing some negative situations. This review looks into what Positive Psychology is and how it impacts our lives. The sources I selected look into a broad overview of Positive Psychology, and it looks into deeper more specific aspects of Positive Psychology. This review has to lead me to believe that if we see ourselves and the future in a positive way it will have a positive effect on our lives.
Social psychology centres on a subject or person who has universal characteristics which can be studied independently of the social context.
Success does not always stem from the amount intelligence we possess; being successful has a great deal to do with believing that we are capable. Working with special education children, has taught me so many things and this is one of them. In my first year as a paraprofessional, I worked with a child who was told he would never be smart. For his first three years of school, his teachers and parents did everything for him because they too, believed he would never be capable to do them himself. Those words and actions affected him more than they could ever imagine. He withheld any confidence or happiness and expressed many negative feelings about himself. On his first day at our school, we started him with basic skills that we knew he could be successful at. We amplified how amazing he was doing every day, we told him how smart he was and we never let him talk negatively about himself. Within a matter of weeks, the confidence that was omit began to appear. He began to get excited to come to class because of all the positive feedback he continuously received. Once he felt capable of success, he was absorbing and understanding what we were teaching alongside his peers. He began to excel to the point that he got the highest math score on a standardized test in his mainstream classroom! It was truly astonishing that as soon as he felt someone believed in him, he learned to believe in himself and he used that confidence to drive his success. The many experiences I have had like this one, reinforce that becoming a school psychologist is the ideal career for me.
Having enjoyed psychology-related activities in both the academic and community settings, it is with enthusiasm that I pursue a career in clinical psychology. An important part of this pursuit is attending graduate school. In order to obtain the necessary knowledge and to define my areas of interest, I wish to enroll in a doctoral program in clinical psychology.
Clinical psychology can be defined as the “branch of psychology that concerns itself with the assessment and treatment of mental illness and disability”. Therefore, a clinical psychologist assesses patients for any behavioral, emotional, and/or mental problems and then make a diagnosis and develop a treatment for the patient. They nurse personal issues that patients have and also help with chronic and severe conditions. The requirements to be a clinical psychologist include a master’s degree, but a doctorate is sometimes necessary. Many states require a state license, professional work experience, and in specific states such as New Jersey, to be fluent in Spanish. Many employers looking for clinical psychologists require them to have great communication skills and be trustworthy. The treatment of a patient usually starts off with an interview with the patient and sometimes with their families. After seeing how the family and individual acts in that group setting, the psychologist then evaluates their mental space. Finally, they work with a medical personnel to consider what the best treatment for the patient will be. Before entering into a career, you should always research the requirements and pros and cons. What are the pros and cons of studying a clinical psychology and being a clinical psychologist? A
Positive psychology is defined as a field of psychological theory and research which centers upon the psychological states, personal characteristics and strengths, and cultural institutions which make living most valuable (Psychology Dictionary, n.d.). Positive psychology relies on humans taking the brighter side of life and moving through time with kindness, patience, and the ability to forgive and pursue life to the fullest. Positive psychology is having a positive mindset. People having a positive mindset will be healthier than someone who is always negative.
One of the more popular areas of psychology is Educational Psychology. Educational Psychology can be explained several ways. The idea is to study theories and concepts from different parts of psychology and apply them in educational settings. These educational settings may occur in different school settings such as preschool. The goal of educational psychology is to create a positive student-teacher relationship. Educational psychology uses five different types of psychology, behavioral, cognitive, developmental, and social cognitive, and constructivist in this research paper I will be briefly discussing each type of psychology listed above.
