Health related fitness includes of Strength, aerobic endurance, muscular endurance, flexibility and body composition. The purpose and ability of health related fitness is it gives the ability to carry out everyday activities it also helps, · Regular exercise has a huge impact on physical benefits · has an impact on humans mental health · a hormone is released which helps relax the body · Nature cure on high levels of stress · Reduces risks of certain types of cancer Health related fitness for long distance running, Strength 5% strength is needed to excel yourself throughout the race, Muscular endurance 10% to keep the muscles making continues movement throughout the running distance, Flexibility 10% for muscles not to be tight during the running, Body composition 15% has to be low level so you are able to run the distance without getting tired., Aerobic endurance 60% (stamina) so you can keep going for a long period of time. In boxing a lot more muscles are used for a period of time so allot more fitness requirements are required, as in cricket there is to allot of moving around for long periods of time so they need a lot less requirements, rugby needs allot more strength as it is a contact sport. D1 critically evaluate the purpose and importance of health related fitness for two contrasting sports All components of health related fines are important for the sporting performance as well as health perspective. Health related consists of Strength, muscular endurance, aerobic endurance, flexibility and body composition. Health related and skill related components of fitness are clearly different. Skill related consists of Agility, Balance, reaction time, power, speed and co-ordination. Health related fitness includes of · Strength is the ability of a muscle to excerpt force for a short period of time. A good level of strength helps maintain good posture in old age, it helps maintain independent life style, for something as simple as climbing stairs at home/work. helps avoid injuries for example back injuries, it also helps with co-ordination while moving(running/Walking) · Aerobic Endurance, (stamina) A term for someone's aerobic fitness capacity - their ability to do prolonged exercise without tiredness. Aerobic endurance is important for sporting activities because good levels of aerobic fitness will supply the muscles with oxygen required for exercise. Aerobic endurance is one of the most vital influences in our lifestyle and health. The benefits of having it is, it Decreases body fat, increases oxygen into the muscles, increases efficiency of the digestive system, decreases stress levels and also increases the removal of waste products. · Muscular Endurance, combination of strength and endurance. The ability to perform many repetitions against a given resistance for a prolonged period. Muscular endurance is a specific muscle or muscle group, making repeated contractions over a period of time. A few things which require muscular endurance are vacuum cleaning and cleaning windows, these are classed as using a good level of muscular endurance because they require a number of muscular contractions over some time. · Flexibility is the ability of a specific joint. A flexible joint will possess a greater range of motion, which should aid the performance skills. Flexibility is important and should be specifically trained. You should always stretch before and after sports to reduce the risk of cramp. Benefits of Flexibility are it improves posture, prevents lower back pains, maintains healthy joints, reduces risks of injury, better balance whilst moving, and reduces muscle soreness, better blood flow and nutrients to the joints. · Body composition, Has two components: the amount of fat mass (weight) and the amount of fat-free mass (muscle, bone, skin and organs) in the body. An increase in body fat can reduce the fitness of a sportsperson making him/her slower. Purpose and importance of health related fitness Health related fitness also gives you the ability to carry out everyday activities no matter how old you are, you sporting ability or you gender everyone needs a good level of health related fitness for a normal lifestyle, Regular exercise can help with health disease prevention such as weight, stress, and the agility to carry out daily activities. Health related fitness also: · Prevents high blood pressure · Controls your body weight · Reduces certain types of cancer · Releases a hormone which help relax the body · Enhances the immune system · Reduces the risk of developing cardiovascular disease · Reduces the chance of developing depression and increase in self -esteem and confidence If you do not have a good level of fitness your life quality will reduce, such as taking part in social activities and it can also reflect on everyday activities such as Walking, running, shopping,and even walking up the stairs at home/work. Rugby · Strength, because rugby is’contact game' strength is needed in situations such as getting the component down and in the scrum. · Speed, this is needed for when the player is sprinting to get to the Try line, to score without being stopped. · Power, this is needed in the legs when jumping for the ball · Agility, when a player is running with the ball to avoid being tackled agility is needed for the player to switch directions. · Balance, is needed when a player is changing direction without falling over. · Aerobic endurance for the length of time a match lasts · muscular endurance for running up and down the pitch Cricket · Balance, balance is needed if you loose balance whilst playing cricket it reduces speed and power. · aerobic endurance, some games can last a long period of time so to have Aerobic endurance is an advantage · Strength, Good strength in your arms is good as it can help give a strong shot in hitting the ball as well as bowling the ball at a speed. · Speed, because in cricket there are times when you have to run to run between the wickets it is important to have speed as you have to get to the wicket before the fielders strike you out. · Co-ordination-hand dye co-ordination is needed as you have to hit the ball with the bat so you need to know exactly when to swing the bat to hit the ball at the correct time.
