It is a broad term used to reflect the super position of men in social treatment between women and men. Therefore, most of Vietnamese people believe that the position of a man is always higher than a woman. Second, the feudalistic custom also lay down that women can not make any decision. For example, a lot of Vietnamese parents think that their daughter must marry the man whom they choose whether she loves him or not. To sum up, it is clear that the feudal attitudes, which raises the man’s position and prevents women from determining their own destinies, create sexual differentiation in Vietnam. The second cause of sex discrimination in Vietnam is the lack of knowledge of Vietnamese people. First, many Vietnamese married couples, whose knowledge is very limited, do not know that practicing birth-control is extremely importance to women. Without family planning, women do not have freedom because they can not escape from the endless cycle of childbearing and rearing. Does sex discrimination still exist? Of course; it’s a never ending threat to many people. Sex discrimination occurs all the time. Many people fail to recognize it or they overlook the situation. Examples of where the discrimination would take place are as followed; the military, the workplace, politics, and also in the gay and lesbian community. In the military, women are conceived as being the weaker sex. Therefore their opportunities within it are somewhat limited. Many question whether or not women can “measure up” to specific standards, but properly trained servicewomen can overcome physical shortcomings. In the workplace men and women are both affected. Although employers are permitted to enforce different dress codes for men and women, women are more vulnerable to sex discrimination due to the dress code (The Kielch Law Firm 2014). In the United States, our politics are mostly led by men, but in recent years women have evolved into the scene. Being gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender can change the way people look at you. The deprecatory phrase ?I?m just a housewife? typifies the low esteem in which this position is held in our society. The housewife?s responsibilities fall under at least twelve occupational titles: nursemaid, housekeeper, seamstress, dietician, cook, dishwasher, laundress, food buyer, chauffer, gardener, practical nurse, and maintenance worker. However, she receives no pay and has to ask her husband for money for basically everything. It is remarkable that most women still rush to fill such a position.

The increased strain in working women comes from the reality that they carry most of the child-rearing and household responsibilities. Ms. Warrell gives advice to working mothers to help with guilt of not being a housewife, which is a more nontraditional marriage. Both articles have creditable views regarding each topic due to both authors’ personal experiences.
