The first thing that must be addressed is the reality that animation is on par with film. It is quite literally art. The amount of effort, talent, and imagination that goes into the story is nothing short of amazing. Although animation is often reduced to just programing for kids, when put side by side, the only difference between Gone With The Wind and The Lion King is that one is animated.
