Starvation is a big problem in certain places. 1 in every 6 people face hunger in the world. Most of these people are children and people who live in developing countries. Since countries are not ready to produce food for the people there is not enough. Children are the most vulnerable because their weak, small and their bodies haven't fully developed yet. Out of the 925 million peopects about 925 million people in the world. Due to overpopulation, many people are dying from lack of food. There aren’t many things we can do to help these people who are strugglle starving 1.5 million of them are children. Africa, Haiti, and Ethiopia have a large number of people suffering from starvation. Haiti has 5.0 million people are facing food shortage, that is 44.5 percent of Haiti’s population. Ethiopia has a much larger amount of people dealing with starvation, 34.0 million which is 40.2 percent of the population. More than 2500 children die each day in Africa.
Many people are starving for many different reasons. Overpopulation is the number one cause of starvation. There are too many people in one area so they cannot feed them all from the lack of food. In developing countries most are struggling economically to provide enough food and jobs. Those who are not employed is the majority of the people with families that are suffering from hunger.
The short term consequences of starvation are terrible. More and more people are dying from this each day. In this year we are expected to lose 7,615,360 people from hunger. That is a ton of people that need our help. A person dies every 3.6 seconds. About 20 people have died in the time it took to read this.

The kids in the schools will also be given a box for spare change that they find in the car or on the ground so they can save up and be
a part of this amazing experience in helping the people in need. It will make them feel as if they are included. When they fill up their box they will dump it into a giant container in their school. It will be fun for the kids to see how full they can get the container and maybe even fill it up . It will be a fun activity for all the kids.
Starvation is a serious problem thats taking out people by the millions., it needs to come to a stop. We can help stop starvation and help all the people who need us. There are terrible long term and short term consequences. Overpopulation causes many things and starvation is one of them. There are so many things we can do to try and stop this so lets try.

The world hunger is the deadliest disease in the world today, despite the fact that there is more food on earth, but fewer people cannot have access to this food, or even get the opportunity to grow some due to poverty, or lack of good soil to grow crops. World hunger is caused when natural resources become destroyed by earthquakes, or civil war. Another reason is drought and flooding. World hunger is also an issue in undeveloped countries because of political corruption, poverty, environmental issues, overpopulation, economics, and pestilence. It is sad to see people dying from malnutrition, and starvation every second. While we that have it doesn’t seem to appreciate it but waste it instead of helping those that in need of it. Imagine your skin tightening around your body to the point that you see your veins, no fats or muscles, the foul odor that comes from your mouth, your eye sockets sunken in, your eyes bulging out, the visibility of your collar and chest bones, your stomach bloated, and your body eating itself. These are the symptoms of someone who is starving. The dictionary definition of someone who is starving or hungry is someone who displays the need for food, the need for calories in their body. This is a feeling that millions of people feel every day because there is not enough food being farmed for them to eat, food is too expensive for them to buy, and because they do not have the knowledge nor ability to grow and maintain their own food. As the world population grows so does the amount of people that live without the proper amount of nutrition and food. Hunger in America can be hard to recognize and many people do not realize that hunger and malnutrition is a problem that many Americans face every day. America is the land of plenty and one of the most powerful and wealthy countries in the world, however is well known that is subject to problem such as starvation, considered as “third-world problem”. For decades, Americans have gone above and beyond to aid other countries that were faced with problems such as malnutrition and hunger. Sadly, the US has failed to aid them and millions are currently suffering from hunger. In addition, with how the economy is now, the effects of hunger are getting worse every day. Many Americans are relying and most of them depend on food stamps and private organizations to help with this crisis. The documentary, “A Place at the Table” by Kristi Jacobson and Lori Silverbush present some issues and real life story to explain what is really happening and how hunger and obesity are not problems on opposite ends of a spectrum, but are in fact intricately linked. Poor nutrition, health problem and poverty are all related.
"Under the Supplemental Poverty Measure, there are 48.4 million people living in poverty, nearly 2 million more than are represented by the official poverty measure (46.7 million)". That just shows how many people go hungry every day. Many people that go hungry live on less than $5.00 a day. This means that poverty is the true cause of hunger. That is because it is not that there is not enough food but that people cannot afford food.
Hunger is a result of poverty, as well as poverty being a result of hunger. Hunger causes the body’s radius to decrease in addition to a person’s level of energy and mental functions. An adult’s hunger struggle could seriously affect their labor abilities and could eventually lead to unemployment. Unemployment and low incomes are the all time leading causes of childhood hunger. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Why should there be hunger and privation in any land, in any city, at any table when man has the resources and the scientific know-how to provide all mankind with the basic necessities of life?” (Child Hunger Fact Sheet).
In conclusion, Child hunger is prevalent in the United States. As of 2012, there are over sixteen million children suffering from Child Hunger in the US. While there are many solutions in order to solve this problem, it still persists. This issues needs to be continued to be looked at and dealt with our policy makers as they ultimately hold the key.
The correlation between over-population and growing world hunger has become a controversial topic in today’s society. Concerns of population expansion, world starvation, and environment destruction are matters of debate and are of much concern for their outcomes affect everyone of society. The world is home to an estimated 6 billion people with more than 80 million additions every year. With this astonishing growing rate of population it is necessary to address the matter of world hunger before it is too late. The three main theories of world population and the correlation to world hunger are debatable; however, it is ultimately left to an individual to determine the truth/ answer to such theories of world hungers origin.
In the past ten years the world population exceeded six billion people with most of the growth occurring in the poorest, least developed countries in the world. The rapidly increasing population and the quickly declining amount of land are relative and the rate at which hunger is increasing rises with each passing year. We cannot afford to continue to expand our world population at such an alarming rate, for already we are suffering the consequences. Hunger has been a problem for our world for thousands of years. But now that we have the technology and knowledge to stamp it out, time is running short.
Niger and Sierra Leone, the two poorest countries in the world only have a GDP of around 500 dollars per capita. Which, compared to Canada’s 27,000 dollars per capita, is considerably low. In the 48 poorest countries, an average of 2$ a day is made by each working person. Imagine living off 2$ a day in Canada, you couldn’t even buy a Big Mac and a drink for 2$. This is making starvation a very serious problem in 3rd-world countries, not to mention their low immune systems, used for preventing disease, not working right from the lack of nutrition.
There are currently 925 million people that are starving in the world today. It hurts to think about all of those people that do not make it through the night due to hunger. Hunger is, as explained in the oxford dictionary, “the uneasy or painful sensation caused by craving appetite. Also the exhausted condition caused by the need of food.” I chose this particular meaning because it’s the deeper meaning of hunger, the critical meaning. Hunger is the most pressing issue we face. One out of every eight people in the world today suffers from chronic undernourishment caused by food scarcity. 19,000 kids die everyday from hunger. The world has more than 1.5 times enough food to feed everyone on this entire planet although with some people making less than two dollars an hour, it is hardly imaginable to be able to. At least the number of people who die everyday of famine is going down every year because more and more people care. We want to keep this number going down not only by the year, but also by the day. If we want this to happen, we have to take action. Now.

The reasons people cannot obtain enough food are several different historical patterns of equality. These patterns include the inequalities between Africa and its former colonisers or contemporary financiers, and between Africa's rich and poor. It also includes equality between members of the same households, where food and the resources needed to obtain it (such as land and income) are often unevenly distributed between men and women, old and young. Whatever the reasons for food deprivation, when the result is malnutrition it can do damage, increasing diseases such as malaria, rickets, anemia, and perhaps acquired immune deficiency syndrome aka AIDS.
Impoverished countries are suffering because of overpopulation. Overpopulation remains the leading driver of hunger, desertification, species depletion and a range of social maladies across the planet (Tal, 2013). If you look at the world most of the countries that are dealing with these problems it is due to overpopulation. Impoverished countries do not have the money or resources to help them overcome this issue (Tal, 2013).
