Doing homework can be difficult and sometimes takes a lot of time. However, at the same time doing homework can be beneficial and enjoyable. There are three reasons why homework should be given. First, teachers are able to know how students are doing easily through checking the students’ homework. Second, doing homework can stimulate the interest of studying; and finally students may comprehend better and receive high marks through doing the homework the teachers have assigned.

First of all, homework is like a detector, teacher is able to know how students are doing through checking the students’ homework. At school, the communication between teacher and students is brief; teacher only have a short while to explain to students what they don’t understand. However, by checking homework the students have done, teachers are able to decide which student needs more help and which student is fine.
