645 Words2 Pages

In a story of two technology giants fighting a war against each other, Apple and Samsung have gone through many court battles and there are still many more to come. Apple and Samsung can compare to two children fighting, after one says, “You took my idea,” the other replies with, “No, you took my idea.” And this endless cycle of bickering continues on and is forced to go to court where one of the companies takes a substantial amount from the other. Though both companies have their differences, they also have many things that are similar.
First of all, let’s focus on what products Apple manufactures and their features. Apple’s major products are the iPhone 5S, the iPad, many Mac laptops and computers, and also various iPods. The iPhone and the iPad run on a software called iOS 7 which was released on September 18, 2013. Some features of the iPhone and iPad are Siri, iTunes Radio, and Apple Maps. To summarize, Apple and Samsung are two companies that work in completely different ways, but do have many similar products and business ideas. Reflecting earlier to the comparison of the two children arguing, in 2012 Apple sued Samsung for patent infringement. After Apple won the claim, Samsung created a humorous and false story that said they paid apple the one billion dollars in nickels. The story goes that thirty trucks full of nickels arrived to pay the amount won by Apple, but remember that the story was false (Elmer-DeWitt). Samsung challenged the decision of the court and the ongoing battle between the two technology giant roars on with no foreseeable end in sight.
