Technology versus Friendship and Love

Technology changed us as a human race, We are now more concerned with the people on cyber space than the people around us . This has made us become reliant on technology for friendship, Love and Dopamine.

Our human genetic make up is known as our identity . It is who we are , where we come from and what our challenges are. The internet changes the way we look at ourselves and the people around us.The internet causes our decision process to change regarding common everyday tasks like the choice to study. Our decision process is changed and our identity is distorted to what we want it to be , Which in return can create conflict.During the period of time when the identity is forming the adolescent brain goes throughout stages of needs , the need to fit in. The need to feel connected the need to feel wanted in what they do(McLeod). While the brain is forming young adults only see the sides of the identity they want to see . There perception of life is distorted . The Internet has and will only add onto these effects . Youth today look at there lives on the internet as a way of making themselves more open, Yet these accounts are only distorting the real truth . Youth these days are more disconnected then ever to each other and the world around them . I noticed the change back in 2007 , I was in 7th grade and texting had just started to get popular . The lines where drawn and the kids who's parents could afford to buy them cellphones hung out and the rest of us where stuck . A lot of the time the school cafeteria would go silent . Not from anyone telling it too but because my peers around me where more immersed in there phones then the people around them . Then the cheating started . Kids thought that they could just text each other...
