T.D. Jakes is one of the greatest leaders of our time in my opinion, because he is a leader and great inspirational speaker. His focus is on making a difference in the world. I look up him as a leader, and I support him in his efforts to create a change for good in our community. It is always good to see or hear other people’s views on life because honestly I would listen to him before I listen to my parents. He works with people in the community and doesn’t judge anyone. It is better to hear it from T.D. Jakes, because I know that he wasn’t always at the top; he started from the bottom. He tries to prevent people from making bad decisions because he has made the same types of decisions and he knows what the consequences of making those choices are. He has great relationships with other people. This can be seen in the size of the crowds at the different events and seminars he presents. People all around the world support the works and efforts of T.D. Jakes because they know they are supporting a true leader with strong faith and moral values. He doesn’t care about the spot light, he does things for other people because that is what he wants to do. A lot of things that he does, he does not get paid back for, but that doesn’t matter. The chapter “Clarify What’s Important to you” introduces several successful leaders and many praiseworthy values to me. Although each leader comes from different environments and possesses different characters, all of them keep their precious values in mind and persist in chasing their ideal lives. As many of us I grew up by the wise words of a famous person and it goes like this “a leader is someone who demonstrates what’s possible.”
“There is no pit so deep that God’s love is not deeper still.” Corrie ten Boom has spoken these words more times then she can count on her fingers; they encouraged her through heartbreak and pain, World War II and the risk of hiding Jews, concentration camps, and even the death of her sister. Corrie was brave when others were weak; she fought when others hid. She always knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that she was supposed to help others when they could not help themselves. Through troubles and tribulations, foreign stranger lives saved and loved family lives lost, Corrie ten Boom stood strong and persevered to live a bold life, and have an outstanding ministry. Corrie experienced one of the darkest times in the history of the world, but she strove to be a light that shone through.
The novel A Separate Peace by John Knowles and “A Poison Tree” by William Blake, display how one must forgive their friends for forgiveness is the only way to separate friends from enemies. After an accident, in A Separate Peace Finny, his best friend forgives him immediately, while the rest of their class suspect Gene had malicious intent. Similarly, William Blake forgives his friend promptly in his poem, nonetheless, he holds a grudge against his enemy till his anger explodes. Both works show how a powerful friendship can overcome adversity; conversely, those distrusted face anger.
Transformational leadership also integrates well with a biblical worldview because both advocate valuing followers as well as leaders, the importance of ethical behavior, the need to forgive and learn from mistakes, and the value of a high moral example. Kouzes and Posner advocate leaders having a “moral authority to lead” (2007, p. 41), practicing personal accountability and working to improve all aspects of their follower’s lives. This others-centered leadership approach fits well in the Christ centered atmosphere of a Christian school.

Since the beginning of time, people have completed heroic acts against evil and sin, but in many cases it is those who have the lesser appearance and humble disposition who have established the greatest acts of heroism.
