The trivialization of high school in the present educational organization for teens has been posited in the public; however, it is one vital issue that is being debated.
Is it really right for high schools to be abolished from the teen’s system of education? This question has been a vital issue in the present age educational structure. According to research carried out by many educational researchers lately, it was discovered that the two-year high schooling scheme is irrelevant and obsolete in the learning structure for teen’s, and should be abolished from their system of education or scheme of learning.
Botstein once argued in his book Jefferson’s Children that “the American high school are obsolete”. In detail, the dissemination that the current method of education has entirely strangled the scheme is an important issue which has to be scrutinized critically.

In the first chapter of the book “on being a teacher” titled “why are we here? What is the job that we are being asked to do, by Jonathan Kozol? He expatiated that painstaking teachers who have researched the foundation of open education are confronted with a choice making (Kozol, 3).
He further stated that with all sincerity in themselves and colleagues, public school is now regarded as outmoded and barbarous. In my opinion, I agree with the writer’s explanation on the importance of high school, and the relationship between the teachers and children, because due to the world global change the responsibilities of teachers are imperative and crucial. The teachers stand as the foundation between the teenagers and their radiance, since they encourage the teens to put in their best in whatever, they are indebted to do. Nonetheless, children are the future generation as such the teachers are to instruct them morally and ethically in order for them to be productive citizens in the society. Consequently, as teachers, their duty is to build up teenagers because whatever the teens learn from youth guides them to adulthood. In the article “Against School”, John Taylor Gatto urges Americans to see the school system as it really is: testing facilities for young minds, with teachers who are pounding into student 's brains what society wants. Gatto first explains that he taught for 30 years at the best and worst schools in Manhattan. He claims to have firsthand experience of the boredom that students and teachers struggle with. Leon Botstein, author of “Let Teenagers Try Adulthood,” states that the traditional high school system should be abolished because it is not benefitting teenagers. He states that cliques of popularity and athleticism and teachers who care more about money than education stand in the way of proper learning for teenagers. Botstein further argues that school stifles students creativity and that they really do not want to be in school. His argument that the traditional high school setting should be abolished is somewhat justified on the fact that cliques make schooling experiences difficult; however, his statement that children’s creativity is stifled, they are bored in high school, and that they are ready to be adults at a young age is invalid.
In his article “What High School Is” Theodore R. Sizer describes the day of a student, Mark and how his average high school day plays out. Sizer feels that this accurately describes how most high schoolers spend their days. He states that “the basic organizing strictures in schools are familiar.” He describes Mark's school day and what classes he attends in which order. On this occasion, I remember and thank other people who work for a good school.
