Stop Welfare Abuse Reform Now

Undoubtedly, the most frustrating issue is the abuse of welfare and other government assisted programs. Although welfare is designed to help families with financial difficulties, many families are abusing these services, committing fraud and raising generations on assisted living thus calling for Welfare reform. Regrettably a number of families raise offspring that repeat the cycle, with no intentions to work and believe they are entitled to be taken care of. (ODJFS)

According to Attorney General King of Alabama, statewide people will lie to receive welfare benefits and this crime goes against the taxpayer and the state, and people who validly deserve the benefits, and has vowed to aggressively investigate and prosecute cases of fraud. (Hahn) Furthermore, in Kentucky Welfare Fraud is costing millions and is a widespread plague as people falsify information to receive benefits they are not entitled to. (WBKO) Repeatedly states headlines read of cases of abuse and fraud, and According District Attorney Francis Schultz prosecuted a woman defrauding the state for more than ten years. (WSFA) In addition the latest Census Bureau data reveals that most U.S. families headed by illegal immigrants are using taxpayer-funded welfare programs thanks

to their American-born babies, according to a public-interest group that investigates government corruption and fraud. Also, illegal and misuse of Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) is one of the problems our Welfare System is facing today. All three are considered illegal and these type of activities need to be stopped immediately. People that are in need should be given the assistance they desperately ask for.
