Illegals, Aliens, Undocumented (however you wish to call them) are often viewed as a burden to America. But are they really? Are American conscious of the contributions that “Illegal Aliens” bring to this country? “Illegal Aliens” have stimulated enormous economic wealth to this country. It is now the time to recognize those hard working underpaid immigrants and grant them the reform they deserved after so many years of being a shadow. I call to action an immediate immigration reform NOW! Anti-illegals and Pro- amnesty Organizations Missions There are many organizations, interest groups, coalitions who oppose an immigration reform. These anti-immigration groups, share common positions, they feel that immigrants pose a threat to them they could be terrorist, drug dealers and criminals; they also worry about the use of public help from the government which they pay (Messerli, n.d.). Anti-illegals claim that illegal aliens pose a national security risk, and that immigrants affect the wages of U.S legal workers (Introduction to Immigration Reform: The Ongoing Debate, 2006). Anti-illegals are not willing to give in to any type of reform; they feel that it would only magnetize more illegals to the country, in a cycle that never ends. However, Pro-amnesty activist have a completely different position, from Anti-illegals, Pro- amnesty discuss how a reform would be a great contribution to U.S economy. They feel that America is a diverse cultural place and should be accepting of other who came to look for a better opportunity, and that this land symbolizes a land of dreams. They support illegal aliens for desiring a better life for them and their families. Activists are in full support and pursing a fair reform for all the undocumented ... ... middle of paper ... ...lack of education and skills their income is still very low (Cort Kirkwood, 2012). It is out of necessity that they look for additional help, I know some illegal people that use food stamps benefits, but they are ashamed to use them. In their culture this is view as something bad so they only apply when really necessary. Unlike other born citizens that I know of the abuse of government assistance programs by reporting false information and not working as illegals do. As you can see illegals are not a burden to citizens like they claim illegals are, instead they help citizens. Pro undocumented activist seeking a Comprehensive Reform How would it work, what would be the benefits are the methods ethical and would they work? Why is a reform needed? As the nation is in a bad economic crisis, a reform is needed to create a stronger and more successful united Country.
