Stonehenge has been an epicenter for much discussion,confusion,controversy, and debates for many years especially in it’s homeland of the U.K. Stonehenge has puzzled and divided experts for decades. There are many controversial debates about Stonehenge. Particulary on it’s origins and use. Some of these controversies include Aliens, Glaciers, Merlin the Wizard, the Devil, and sheer man-power.
THere have been many UFO sightings above and near Stonehenge. The people who have reported the sightings believe that what they saw, photographed, and witnessed were without a doubt UFOs or extraterrestrials. Many people support the fact that Stonehenge was built with the help of Aliens. Their reason for thinking this is possible is the size of the stones. The stones weigh in at thousands of pounds each. The fact that some of these stones are laid across the top of other standing stones only makes their belief stronger. For some people it is easier to believe in the supernatural and unknown to answer questions that have no obvious answer.
In response to these sightings, the ministry that deals with these issues says that the vast majority of cases that have been reported have more down to earth explanations. A wales police helicopter reported seeing a cluster of rotating objects in the vicinity of Stonehenge. Upon further investigation, the ministry concluded that what they had actually saw were chinese lanterns from a nearby wedding party, “ufo over stonehenge.” There were reports of a UFO hitting a wind turbine. This paper will prove it will remain unknown if the Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) crash sighting at Roswell, New Mexico on July 4th, 1947 did happen, although the government is hiding Extraterrestrial information there. The following is a list of terms that may become confusing to some readers.
Standing there over such a long time, it has been the subject of research and mystery in general, for a really long time. Dozens of notable scientists, emperors and others expressed their admiration and interest through different means of explorations and excavations. There have been various theories on how it was built, and what the purpose of it was, and some of them are really intriguing and interesting such. Some thought it was built as a solar-lunar calendar, some said that it had medical purposes for the giants that had built it, it was considered a ceremonial place, temple of veneration, a portal and lastly but not less important, there were some associations of Stonehenge to the aliens. The two specific theories on the Stonehenge’s importance will be discussed and summarized in this essay.
The V-shaped object that appeared in the sky that night over Phoenix has left every UFO fanatic and scientist in awe. There is no real explanation for the bright lights that took the shape of a huge boomerang from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Many have tried to explain what no one can, but for every scenario, there is an equally crazy explanation that proves it to be false. Just about everyone in the United States has heard about the little town of Roswell, New Mexico. Most people know that there is a connection between Roswell and UFO’S. This crash site became the most credible in UFO crashes ever known. Stonehenge is located in Southern England on what is known as the Salisbury Plain. The structure looks different than it once did, however. Today, Stonehenge suffers the effects of time and pernicious acts by people. Originally, in the years after completion, the structure was made up of “several concentric circles of megaliths, very large stones.” (5) Stonehenge consists a circular layout of approximately one hundred megaliths. On the tops of them another flat stone was placed to make a continuous ring of horizontal stones. These structures are known as trilithons.
Around June 25th, 1947 a pilot, Ken Arnold had reported strange objects in the sky while flying near Mt. Rainer, Washington. He stated that they flew like "saucers being skipped over water." This was where the term "Flying Saucers" derived from. The Roswell UFO Incident all started on the evening of July 3, 1947, Dan Wilmot and his wife were sitting on their front porch when they saw the distinct shape of a saucer flying through the sky. A few days prior to this sighting, military radar in the area was tracking an Unidentified Flying Object for four days. On Independence Day the radar indicated that the object had gone down about 30-40 miles Northwest of Roswell. A few days after the actual sighting from the Wilmot's, W.W. Brazel, the Foreman of the J.B. Foster Ranch went to check on his sheep after some intense thunderstorms the night prior. He happened to discover a very large amount of debris of an unknown metallic substance scattered throughout the field. It was also stated that he stumbled across a shallow trench in the ground that stretched hundreds of feet. Brazel would gather some of this debris to show family and friends. Behind every great structure in the world, there are the people who made them, and who took the time and effort to design them. Those who made Stonehenge succeeded in creating an incredibly complex and mysterious structure that lived on long after its creators were dead. The many aspects of Stonehenge and the processes by which it was built reveal much about the intelligence and sophistication of the civilizations that designed and built the monument, despite the fact that it is difficult to find out who exactly these people were. They have left very little evidence behind with which we could get a better idea of their everyday lives, their culture, their surroundings, and their affairs with other peoples. The technology and wisdom that are inevitably required in constructing such a monument show that these prehistoric peoples had had more expertise than expected.

The solstitial alignments of Stonehenge, Woodhenge, and Durrington Walls made them each a huge part of a ritual that was significant for the peoples’ culture. It shows their advances in knowledge of the rising and setting sun, and they used those events to create magnificent structures that attract the awe of thousands of people today.
