What is Steers all about and what do they specialize in?
Steers is a quick service, burger brand and the reason behind Famous Brands group. Steers was the first restaurant group owned by Famous Brands, making it the oldest member of Famous Brands. Steers specializes in Flame Grilled burgers and has been voted Joburg’s best burger for the past 18 years as well as best chips for the past 14 years in the Leisure options Best Of Joburg Awards. The Steers burger range is dominated by 100% pure beef burgers. The food is freshly prepared in each restaurant. Steers supplies the main hamburger ingredients, including buns, patties and sauces to all its franchises through Famous Brand Services and approved suppliers. Steers has 505 restaurants situated in South Africa and 45 stores in other African countries such as Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Botswana, Zambia, Tanzania, Ivory Coast, Mauritius, Namibia, and Nigeria. Steers recently expanded to the UK and are currently expanding into North African and Middle Eastern countries such as Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Morocco, Iran and Egypt.

Vision and Mission Statement
Steers’s vision is to create and offer customers the “perfect burger”. In order to do so, Steers has maintained their unique taste and selling proposition. As a result of this Steers has won multiple awards including the best burgers for the last 18 years and the best chips for the last 14 years.

• Steers franchisees and staff undergo a one month training program to learn everything there is to know about the brand to ensure customers receive only the best service.
• The newer steer’s stores are built so that customers can see the kitchen where food is made. This creates transparency and interaction with staff and allows customers a glimpse of behind the scenes
• The first Steers in the Uk opened on 6 July 2013
• There is a steers situated at 29 of the 31 Shell ultra City sites in south Africa.
