As a healthcare professional, it is both a responsibility and a joy to serve as an educator. There is nothing more rewarding than connecting with students and impacting their learning and professional development. As a teacher, I strive to promote mastery of concepts, critical thinking, and informed clinical decision- making. My ultimate goal is not to train students what to think, but rather how to think. By providing education in a meaningful context, I hope that learners can independently find, evaluate, and apply new information in the future. It is important to me that positive learning environments be fostered and collegial relationships maintained. Not only do I want my students to be comfortable asking clarifying questions, but I hope they explore the boundaries of their knowledge and turn to me as a mentor for guidance and advice. I am very passionate about my own education and hope to ignite the same enthusiasm in my students. Above all, I want to encourage a strong foundation for life-long learning and continual personal and professional development.

“We look for medicine to be an orderly field of knowledge and procedure. But it is not. It is an imperfect science, an enterprise of constantly changing knowledge, uncertain information, fallible individuals, and at the same time lives on the line.” There is more to being a great physician than having intellect, clinical experience, and competence in the medical field. A doctor must be daring and genuinely driven to positively impact a patient’s life. A doctor needs stand tall, even in the face of uncertainty.
...es need to be taught awareness skills, and given enough training to sharpen, and maintain them .Instructors should be firm but fair. This means they should be ready to correct their student’s mistakes without necessarily coming off as overbearing and this was demonstrated by the nurse. Student nurses must interact more with their patients by listening and trying to understand them. Although the patient might not know what’s best for them, they may have an idea of what is going on and might help the nurses understand issues better.
As physicians, we are foundations for our patients. We become sources of strength and emotional security for them, in trying times. We do more than fix others back to health (spotting signs of illness, giving diagnoses, drugs or treatment). We must understand the concerns of those we help and be there for our patients—through pain and sorrow. ================
This experience will definitely influence my future practice; my action plan would be using those teaching strategies in preparing students to face the clinical environment, to ensure optimal patients’ health outcomes and it helps to build a competent and independent clinician.

...attern depict Kolb’s four-stages of continuous learning. Whereas, the five red arrows in the center of the model indicate faculty’s desire to progress from that of a novice to an expert. Cooley and De Gagne (2016) suggest that novice faculty often face significant challenges teaching other’s due to their lack of experiences. According to the author’s, novice faculty must strive to acquire a vast amount of new knowledge, which requires sufficient time, guidance, and support to progress from that of a novice to an expert clinician (Cooley & De Gagne, 2016). By integrating Kolb’s and Benner’s theories, IC practitioners are promoting a continuous process of learning to support faculty’s movement from that of novice by way of engaging in concrete experiences, reflective observation, and active experimentation in order to gain clinical expertise (Benner, 1982; Kolb, 1984).

I remember there was a time on my first few weak of orientation I felt like I didn’t belong the healthcare field. I was about to quit the nursing profession, but one of the experienced nurses who was working with me told me that you couldn't run away from yourself just hang in there you will figure it out you are not the alone. I could say there was a significant gap between theory and practice. In real life practice, I learned so many things through everyday training and experiences from working difference patients with the different case. In school, we learned the importance of evidence-based practice but to incorporate that knowledge in real life practice is a different problem. In nursing practices, we come across patients with various health issues that require a solution right then. From this vantage point, the student begins to learn the value of looking at what is perceived as pure clinical problems in a more significant context. (Ferrara, 2010).
