Learning is a continuous process and the day that you stop learning is the day that you start decreasing your rewards and lower levels of satisfaction. My ardent desire to acquire knowledge has motivated me to pursue higher studies at graduate level, and to take up a career in research in industry. I have taken this decision after carefully considering my academic background, profound interest in research and strong aptitude for problem solving. Banking on an excellent academic record coupled with a keen interest in the ever-growing field of science and technology motivated me to take up engineering. In school, I consistently secured one of the top positions of the class. I have always been attracted towards subjects that draw upon one's analytical abilities. Thus, Mathematics and Physics were my favorite subjects and I secured 89% marks in my 12th class. I have secured an overall percentage of 7.2 GPA at my undergraduate level. In addition to my course work, I also have practical experience that will aid in the development of my future studies and career, with my own initiative and zeal to explore the practical aspects of Real Time Systems. “Seriously kid!? You have the whole world at your feet, just pick something already!” he said with an aggravated look upon his face. Mr. Bluemer and I had formed quite the straightforward yet amiable relationship after serving him dinner almost every night in the dining room of the retirement home I worked at. “Mr. Bluemer, it is not that simple. I can’t just pick a job off the top of my head, there are too many things I like!” We had been having this argumentative conversation for a few nights now, ever since my college applications opened. “That’s just it Rebecca, you already know what you like, which means you already know what you should be in the future.” Mr. Bluemer had always been an insightful individual to discuss ideas with. Having gained an abundance of wisdom throughout his 86 years of life, I knew I could turn to him for guidance, but what I did not realize was that he would be the one person to inspire me the most.
As a part of my endeavor to pursue higher studies I humbly submit the Statement of Purpose. This statement of purpose gives me a unique opportunity to pen down my desire and ambition. I was the Silver Medalist in RGPV university specific in Electronics and Instrumentation Branch and completed my under graduation Engineering with honors (80%). I was also the member of student council in college for two consecutive years and represented class as Class Representative. This helped me owing to my excellence in communication skills and managing events organized at college level.
People travel miles in search of their true passion; some find them early in their life and I consider myself lucky enough to be one among them. I found my true calling at the age of 12 on a field trip to a milk factory. It seemed like the Disneyland of science with huge machineries, conveyer belts running all around, and instruments working about in their own rhythm with sheer intricacies and perfection. As a kid, I was eager to understand the mechanics behind this magical rhythm. The desire of gaining in-depth knowledge about Control System and Automation eventually led me to choose Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering as my undergraduate study.
We are accessible only to a limited quantity of resources around us. Considering the current usage and availability of resources, it has become very important for us to use them as wisely as possible. As an industrial engineer my aim is to find ways to eliminate wastefulness and enhance the efficiency of the process or service being provided. I would like to enhance my knowledge and in order to achieve this, I wish to pursue my Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering at the Arizona State University. I aspire to do my PhD after my Masters to fulfil my long term career goal of carrying out postdoctoral industrial research while becoming a tenured professor.
The advancement of humanity requires constant effort to know the unknown. Chemists do the interesting job of studying the composition of matter and its properties. Investigating what constitutes the things around us and extracting the useful knowledge from it has always proved beneficial to mankind. I became fascinated by studying chemistry during my last two years of high school. Pursuing my interest, in 2006, I started my bachelors program at Taibah University. Madinah, Saudi Arabia, then in 2012, I started my masters program at Sacred Heart University with expected graduation in Dec 2014. In fact, the education at Taibah University and Sacred Heart University deepened my understanding of chemistry.

Obstacles had never been obstructing my effort to succeed in life. As an engineer to be, it is important to me to be prepared for the hurdles in the real world. The world nowadays needs a person who could compete and has great abilities to stand on the same level as others. Multiple skills and critical opinion of an issue are essential for an engineer to jump into this challenging career. For me, a strategic planning and full preparation need to achieve the aim of being an expert engineer.
From my perspective, excellent electronic engineers are a group of gifted and imaginative talents who bravely explore and innovate, change the world with passion and innovation. I have always dreamed of becoming one of them. For realizing this dream, I started from China 's Jilin University and then joined The University of Manchester for BEng (Hons) Electronic Engineering to take more advanced professional courses. In UoM, I managed to gain GPA of 4.0. Yet, my pursuit of the dream does not end there, since I plan to apply for M.S. program in Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Carnegie Mellon University, where I can receive the best education among the world.
