Innovation and Perfection is what I think about all the time and this thought urges me to earn a Master’s degree. I got introduced to the field of Computers via Games. But, I started to see something beyond games, I realized they are software. Well-built software will help solve many complex real world problems with ease. This multiplied my curiosity and made me focus on the field of Computer Science. My thirst for quality and standards kept me on the run searching for knowledge. I strongly believe that doing a Master’s degree will help me stay updated and achieve my dream of becoming a master in the field. My first venture into the computer world of programming and designing started with a crash course on Adobe Flash. I also learned Adobe Photoshop on my own, and these tools helped me realize my passion for designing and animation. This instigated me to choose a career on computer science in my higher secondary education which introduced me to Visual Basic. I came to know that computer applications can offer solution to complex problems in a short time with a lot of accuracy. Since a computer was hard to afford in those days, I spent most of my holidays and weekends at my cousin’s place which had a computer and an internet connection. I started using the internet looking for various resources that has something to deal with computers,. I’ve experienced using software that just stood out from the rest, I’ve always admired the way in which they were created and this created an undying hunger in me to look for the ways to create such software, which continues till date. My undergraduate education has helped me establish a very good understanding of various basic concepts of Computer Science; I excelled in many computer subjects like... ... middle of paper ... ...ntioned factors coupled with my thirst for knowledge and my desire to remain associated with the field has provoked me to opt for a master’s degree. Growing up in the late 90’s, I witnessed computers revolutionize India – we had cellphones and personal computers and the internet transforming our lives - and like most other kids, I was fascinated by them. It wasn’t until I took course on QBasic in 8th grade, however, that I really took a liking to computer programming. The idea of computer ‘languages’ seemed almost magical to me. Over the years, that proclivity for programming grew into a passion and led me to take more programming electives in higher grades. I also took the initiative to set up a student-run Computer Club in my high school and host our first annual Computer Symposium. My upbringing in Delhi also made me aware of the gaping inequalities of wealth distribution in our society and as my interest in Computer Science deepened, it only reinforced my belief that lean-technologies can help governments of developing countries in bringing their policies to the altar of execution more efficiently.
