There are heroes all over the world. What makes a hero are the choices they make and the things they accomplish. Spiderman is that hero and this essay will explain why.
There are three areas of argument, which is the bridge of Spiderman's life. The first one is about a helper who supports the hero during a difficult time that would help him succeed through his journey. The second argument would be the most adventurous parts of the quest. The final argument would be different but important aspects of the quest. In the movie Spiderman, Peter Parker/ Spiderman is the hero as his life consists of the stages Protected Youth-the helper appears, The call to adventure and New Landscapes-Road of Trials.
Every hero needs help sometime through his or her quest, even Spiderman. Peter?s uncle, Ben is the only one but a great helper in his life. He helped him in many ways. He had raised him to be, intelligent, a good person, honest and never to commit a crime. That is really important for a hero because it could decide his destiny of being a hero or a criminal. Uncle Ben also gives Peter life saving wise words, which would be the reason, why Spiderman is Spiderman. ?These are the years when a man changes to a man he is going to become for the rest of his life? (Spiderman 2002) and ?With great power comes great responsibility?(Spiderman 2002). Peter is very lucky to have a helper like his uncle who helps him through his many stages.
Like any hero Spiderman is always on an adventure. The real reason he became Spiderman is due to the death of his Uncle Ben. Peter Parker had to seek justice. He then donned the costume of Spiderman and began to be a vigilante crime fighter. Mr.Ozbourne (father of Peter?s best friend) is a rich and greedy man. But he is hungry for fame and power. Because he is about to lose his company, he constructs experiments on himself that unleashes his evil and dangerous alter ego. The Green Goblin is now created. This part is very important because now a villain has emerged and could be a risk towards Spiderman. This is probably the climax of Spiderman?s quest. The Green Goblin has put Spiderman into a very difficult predicament. He has kidnapped MJ and a bus of children and has threatened Spiderman to choose which one to save while he is about to throw them into the ocean.

Webster Dictionary has exactly 5 definitions under the word hero and still no two people explain heroism the same. Superman and Captain America are a glimpse of the fictional characters society titles a hero. Firefighters and Military portray heroism each day in the lives of every civilian. As Sullivan and Venter stated “individuals are referred to as ‘heroes’ for seemingly different reasons” and even through endless studies the adjectives referring heroes is ever changing. Joseph Campbell identified the stages of the heroic journey and explains how the movie adheres meticulously to these steps. At the beginning, the structure dictates that the author should portray the protagonist in their ordinary world, surrounded by ordinary things and doing ordinary tasks so that the author might introduce the reasons that the hero needs the journey in order to develop his or her character or improve his or her life (Vogler 35). Who is a hero? In contemporary times, usage of the term has become somewhat of a cliché. Over the years, the term “hero” has become representative of a wide variety of individuals, each possessing differing traits. Some of the answers put forth by my colleagues (during our in-class discussion on heroism) as to whom they consider heroes pointed to celebrities, athletes, teachers and family members. Although the occupations differed, each of their heroes bore qualities that my classmates perceived as extraordinary, whether morally or physically. Nonetheless, Webster’s defines “hero” as “a person who is admired for great or brave acts or fine qualities.” Thus, it is worth considering that individuals become heroes relative to the situation with which they’re faced.

There’s the quester, the destination, the reason to go, challenges on the trip there, and the real reason for the journey. While fulfilling their journey, a hero must undergo a psychological change that involves experiencing a transformation from immaturity into independence and sophistication. Campbell states that these events are what ultimately guides a hero into completing their journey by, “leaving one condition and finding the source of life to bring you forth into a richer more mature condition” (Moyers 1). She first enters her journey when she learns about invisible strength from her mother, “I was six when my mother taught me the art of invisible strength. Okay, Sam Wilson is one example; but, we also have Miles Morales who is the new African-American Spider-Man; but, not only that, he is in (was) an interracial relationship with Kaite Bishop. That itself shows a little more diversity as well with Miles. The difference we see here is that although he is essentially replacing the past Spider-Man who was Caucasian, it 's not necessarily mentioned or you don 't necessarily think about it too much. What is important about Spider-Man is that each one has distinct personality traits, they do not attempt to make every single one the same. With Sam Wilson, I somehow think they want to make him old Cap, no matter how hard they deny it. Cap has one single personality and to change it would be to change the entire Captain America character. His name is what he does, what he stands for and what he lives for. With Spider-Man, there is more leeway to do what you want with new characters:

In conclusion, Spider Man is a very unrealistic super hero. There is no way someone would put their family and friends in danger by being the city’s super hero. The police and government would surely have you arrested and/or killed for making unwarranted arrests. No matter how unrealistic Spider Man is, he is the most realistic of all the other heroes.

Heroes are often portrayed as mighty men who are invincible, but a real hero is someone who can be found in everyday life. A hero is able to make rational decisions under pressure, selfless, and is always striving towards his/her goals. Victors don't need an arch nemesis or side kick to make them special, the traits that make them who they are is what causes them to be admirable.
