Dear friends, I cannot stress enough how critical it is that we remain diligent in our personal studies of the Word of God. It does not matter who is in the pulpit teaching. It is our own responsibility to make sure that what we are being fed, our spiritual food, which I fondly call "Soul Food"; is supported by the Holy Spirit inspired texts.
"So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure." Philippians 2:12&13 NAS
Number 5. "Jesus died a spiritual death when he was judged in our place for our sins." This was all of the heresy I could tolerate reading. I hope enough was provided in this example to cite error and that I gave enough valid Scripture to dispel the lies. If there is anything you read in this book that you feel is not validated (especially Biblical ones), please send me any comments or questions you may have to the email address I will provide at the end of this book. It is a fact that there is only one Who is Perfect and that is Christ. If you see any errors, by me it is because I am human, not because of anything deliberate. God forbid!
Now, why would any preacher teach something so misleading, intentionally or unintentionally? It could be a number of reasons. 1. He is a fraud. 2. He does not have the gift of pastor. 3. He was taught these same heresies by his pastor or seminary and blindly swallowed the teaching the same as his congregation swallows the same poison, never taking the time to compare the teaching against the Scriptures. 4. It is my hope and prayer that you do not take my word for anything. Please in the name of Christ Jesus, search the Scriptures for yourself. "The brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so." Acts 17:10,11.
