“Coexistence of man and dog is so age-old that most of the people have never thought about when the dog appeared in the human society“ (Kholová 14, as translated by Hana Drazdíková). Despite taming and taking care of various kinds of animals, the man stayed true to his age-old friend, a dog. Many people today have at least one dog in the household, but there are apparently some problems with dog’s behaviour which need to be solved. Is the solution obligatory training for dogs and their owners?
In general, there are three types of dog owners. The first type treats dog as a baby. Owners are buying their darlings special clothes and shoes, the most expensive dog food on the market and various dog accessories. These owners are not punishing their dog for bad behaviour because “it is just a little cute dog!“ So their “little cute dogs“ are spoilt, aggressive and absolutely annoying with their unstoppable barking.
Second type of owners is aware of what it means to have a dog. They do not have dogs only to satisfy their need to care for somebody or something. They also realize that the other people do not have to share their passion for dogs so they have their dogs trained, they are cleaning after them and keeping them on lead where needed.
The last, third type, have dogs for seemingly unknown reason. They are not taking much care where their dogs are, instead of going for a walk they very often just open the door or gate and let the dog walk itself. Without being interested in other people’s safety or about cleaning dog’s excrements. None of them considered the dog training. It seems to be not worth it for them.

The poem above speaks volumes about the nature of man’s best friend. Dogs are not inherently created bad, but are rather “a product of its environment”. The same principle applies to the world’s most misunderstood breed of dog. When you hear the phrase “pit bull”, what do you think of? A savage beast, murdering out of cold blood? A menace to society, lurking the streets, just waiting for its next victim? This couldn’t be further from the truth for most pit bulls. These fantasised versions plague the breed, outlawing them in many cities, states, and even some countries entirely. Most of the dogs on this list are common household pets, like the Labrador retriever, and are normally non-aggressive and very friendly. Many times these dogs show no sign of aggression and pose no threat to society. Perspective One Breed-specific laws were put in place with the expectation to help prevent dog bites and attacks. These characteristics include short hair, a wide skull and shoulders, muscle definition, stocky build and a deep jawline, the combination of which create a dog that manages to strike fear into a perfect stranger. Training your dog is the most important part of canine companionship. A happy dog is one who has structure and boundaries. Dogs are pack animals, and as such, they need guidance in the behavior that you expect from them. If you don't follow through in this leadership role, then the dog will naturally feel as if it is his place to do so. A dog that understands that you are the leader will naturally be easier to train.
Dogs are common throughout the world, either as a domestic pet, a protector on a farm, or an assistant for hunting amongst others. Regardless of the reason for having a dog, most people have either owned one for themselves or have known somebody who has owned one at some point in their life. Despite the relative normality of having a dog in your life in one way or another, the reasons for dogs coming into existence are not common knowledge among most people. Throughout a great portion of mankind’s history, dogs have been an essential part of life. The truth is, dogs were actually created in part by man.
Many people throughout the years have really under estimated the effect of what dog fighting really has and how it is considered abuse on dogs and even dog breeds in general. Between the years of 1979 and 1998, there were several fatalities related to dog bites. The top 3 dogs related to these deaths are the Pit Bull, the Rottweiler, and the German shepherd. These numbers have increased over the years at an alarming rate. Why is it that these dogs are considered the most dangerous dog breeds? Some say it is the breed itself, born with a mean trait already wired into them. Animals, like people, are all born differently. Some people are born nice and others are born mean. Difference in personality is the same when it comes to animals. Every living thing has a unique personality. A lot of times, the personality of the dog has nothing to do with the breed of dog. Dogs should be trained to be around people and other pets at an early age. Training a dog to listen and obey is the most important factor (Marketwire). A dog can simply be bored and want to play aggressively. No matter the breed a dog can always be trained not to be violent (“CAUSES OF DOG”). An improperly trained dog can turn out to be mean and aggressive. Also allowing your dog to practice these behaviors will cause them to adapt to them. Exposing a dog to new things will help it become comfortable with them and recognize them. Dogs use their bark as an alarming system (Marketwire). Having a dog can be a great experience for people who enjoy their company. These animals are usually friendly and active; they are intelligent and can develop a strong relationship with their owners based on love and care. However, having dogs is a big responsibility for the person who owns them, because they are animals, so they cannot support themselves. Dogs need someone who can feed them, give them love, and someone who can help them exercise. Moreover, these animals need big spaces in order to run and develop their muscles, so the owner has to know that he needs to take a walk with the dog several times a day.
Specific Purpose: To bring attention to the issue of dog breed discrimination through Breed Selective Legislation (BSL) and inform the audience how they can change it.
Dog training actually helps in correcting undesirable dog behavior. Some of these undesirable behavior include: digging up your flowers, barking at everyone and so on. Training it will make it develop desirable behavior.
Dogs are wonderful creatures. They are loyal, dependable companions if given the opportunity. In recent years I have come to the opinion that we could learn something from these animals. We should also take a look at the manner in which they are being treated. Abandonment, irresponsible breeding, and neglect are only some of the ways that humans are failing the canine species.
