Recommended: Advantages of tablets

Introduction

This is a report that will explore the scope of hardware and software that are currently in use within the tablet technology industry and the advances taking place. It will do this by reviewing three different tablets and comparing them with one another from the perspective of the respective hardware and software present on each of the system (specifically tablet computers). It will also show understanding of computer systems and how they help people/owners to effectively carry out the responsibilities in both their business and personal life.

Finally, this report will try to identify the nature of business systems and legal data that are supported by computers and the development of networking and communication.

Review of tablets
The aim of this section is to compare the technical specifications of 3 different tablets available in the market today. The tablets are:
• Ipad mini: A tablet released by Apple (Apple, 2014) and has on it the iOS operating system. Based on statistics (Sutherland, 2013), the iPad had the largest market share amongst the other tablets.
• Surface 2: This is a tablet released by Microsoft (Microsoft, 2014) and is installed with a light version of the Windows operating system.
• Nexus 7: This is a tablet released by ASUSTek (Asus, 2014) and has the Android operating system installed on it (the Android OS is owned by Google; (Google, 2014)).

• A processor is a small chip that exists in computers and most, if not all computer devices (TechTerms, 2012). It can also be known as the Central Processing Unit or CPU. Conclusion
Endler (2013) made a point saying, “even if tablets are not perfect PC alternatives, they have become economical and too efficient to overlook” (Endler, 2013). On this note, as the hardware specifications of these tablets are being pushed even further, in no time, the tablet could well be a perfect PC desktop replacement with the extra advantage of portability.
This report has showed from the perspective of a business, Stacked, that the deployment of tablets into a working process can in fact benefit a business as a whole.
In this report, 3 major tablets have been compared against each other and it should be noted that there are more players in the tablet market.
