We have to stop school shootings from being so devastating; teachers are our answer to this problem. School shootings rarely occur, but when that first shot is fired, there is no turning back. ... school. Robert McDonnell said, referring to Sandy Hook’s principal, “If a person like that was armed and trained, could they have stopped the carnage in the classroom? Perhaps” (2). In the near future, hopefully someone proposes this law again and it passes, so that the current students are safer and the future generations feel comfortable going to school without worrying.
