Lady Gaga—the famous pop-culture singer, songwriter behind the above lyrics—is a well-known supporter of gay rights. Her lyrics and actions support causes of the LGBT (standing for lesbian-gay-bisexual-transgender) community worldwide. Being a principal topic of today’s media scene, it is nearly impossible to turn on the television without hearing about the latest issues dealing with homosexuality, and there are those who are either for or against relationships between the same sexes.

Like Lady Gaga, there are many recognizable media figures—of varying sexual orientations—that support homosexuality. From actors, musicians, the United States President Barack Obama and everywhere in between lie both heterosexual and homosexual patrons of same sex relationships. However there are many that oppose the idea of gay relationships, but perhaps if they were presented with scientific evidence that provided reasoning behind homosexuality, many minds could be changed. And that’s what science is trying to do. With the support of scientific research and evidence, it is safe to make the conclusion that homosexuality is a result genetic characteristics one is born with.

The practice of homosexuality has been around for thousands of years and whether people want to admit it or not, it is a major part of world history. Same sex attitudes and behaviors can be traced back all the way into Ancient Rome, for example, in the city of Pompeii where it wasn’t unusual to engage in homosexual actions. ...s born with. Today, gays are still greatly criticized for their way of life. And I find it difficult to understand why anyone would willingly choose that for themselves. With that being said, just as God has created my DNA making me a heterosexual individual, He created the DNA that of any homosexual individual.
