Gauis Julius Caesar Octavianus Augustus. What kind of name is that? That would just happen to be the name of one of the greatest and most brilliant minds in all of history. Not only was Julius Caesar a superb politician and dictator of Rome, he was also a father, a military leader, and an amazing strategist. There are still some mysteries to Caesar’s life, as to what exact day he was born, his love life and much more. Although Julius is one of the greatest minds in history, he like all people had his flaws which, as it does to every great mind, lead to his very downfall.
To start where it began for Julius Caesar would to start on the day his very life began, which even though it is still unknown for the exact day he was born, it is confirmed to have been on July 12th or 13th in 100 B.C.. Julius Caesar’s childhood itself was quite unstable itself, with his father dying when Julius was only 16, Caesar was rather close to his mom. Caesar was born of a family of noble roots and was neither rich nor influential, with that being said, Julius practically created his own legacy rather than just being born into one, which only adds to Caesar’s very brilliance.
Julius Caesar surprisingly had many wives but only had one child, which would be his daughter Julia. In 85 B.C. Caesar was possibly married to a young woman named Cossutia and was soon divorced, but married again when he was only 18 to a woman named Cornelia, who was the one to bore him his one and only child. Sulla, the current dictator, ordered Caesar to divorce Cornelia, and when Julius refused, he was immediately put on the execution list and was forced to go into hiding until 78 B.C. did Sulla die and Caesar returned to Rome to become a lawyer. ...any things still to be found out about Julius Caesar, we know enough to realize his greatness and importance to our history, even if we aren’t roman. Julius Caesar, Dictator or Rome, father, and military genius, and perhaps, the greatest mind to ever be remembered.
