A thief considered a hero. He was an excellent archer. Robin Hood was a hero in his time. While many believe he was a thief and a villain to the law, others feel he was a hero to the poor. Some people might say that Robin Hood stole from the government, and stealing is a crime, no matter what your cause is. They might also say that if people in this day and time stole from the rich and gave the money to the poor, they would be arrested because stealing is against the law. Finally, people who think Robin Hood was wrong in what he did might say that he betrayed his country.
It is true that Robin Hood stole, he was an outlaw because of it. Any person who steals from the rich in this time and gives to the poor will be arrested and likely put in prison for a long time, thievery is against the law and that is the end of it. "An Australian self-help guru accused of using a story about Mexican drug gang members to rob a U.S. bank of $U.S.140,000 ($136,074) has painted himself as a Robin Hood who stole from the rich to give to America's desperately poor." (Mitchell 6). Also according to Mitchell, a man by the name of Corey Donaldson has been in jail for more than five years for robbing a bank, where he claimed to be a Robin Hood by stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. (5). Robin hood was labeled an outlaw by the government (Lindahl 1), which means he was outside the law. He was labeled this because he was betraying his country by stealing from the prince, Prince John, and fighting the sheriff of Nottingham. These were two people in positions of power and authority, and Robin Hood defied them and fought against them. These are three reasons why some people think Robin Hood may have been wrong in what he did.

It was these heroes that taught the southerners, who believed their lives could only prevail if slavery survived and expanded westward, what they knew was morally right (3, 92). John Brown is one abolitionist who stands out amongst the rest and has been noted as one of the most important men in the process of abolishing slavery. It was Brown’s work that sparked the revolts and fighting that would occur between the North and the South after his time. Brown can be considered a hero on account of his actions in Kentucky and Virginia.
The Middle Ages, also known as the Dark Ages, was a time period in Europe after the fall of Rome in 476 A.D. to the 15th century, where the advancement of modern society in Europe screeched to a halt. During this time the societal system of feudalism rose as the main hierarchy system throughout Europe. However it led to great unbalance in the power between the people and the government. The main factor of power and wealth in feudalism was land, the kings and lords had most of the land, while the people had none. During this time, people needed a hero to give hope to everyone and help them through this dark time. This is when the legend of Robin Hood was born. The struggle during the Middle Ages is what causes people (mostly peasants) to want to believe in the story of Robin Hood.

What comes to your mind when you hear the term hero? Is being a hero preventing villains from corrupting the universe? Yes, a hero is someone that stands up and tries to protect others from being harmed. In the book, The Outsiders, the Greasers proved to be the heroes of the story. It shows that no matter what your background is, you could always turn into a hero. They also showed that no matter how poor you are, you can still be a hero. The Greasers that I think showed bravery and fearlessness were: Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dally.

The legend of Robin Hood includes a group of so called outlaws, and how they go about fighting and cooperating with the others in their land. Along with the death of his father, Robin left his home after it was burned down to go and live in the woods. There, he assembled an army of loyal men to help him fight against unjust laws and actions in return for shelter, food, and camaraderie. Although considered outlaws, Robin Hood and his men clearly show actions of the Knightly Code, such as: defending the weak and helpless, fighting only in just causes, and dealing honorably with opponents in battle.
There are several issues Robin Hood needs to consider. First, Robin Hood needs to make sure his own personal grievances against the Sheriff do not cloud his vision and what is in the best interest of his Merrymen as a group. Second, take a broad look at the overall organizational structure by conducting an environmental scan, a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis and/or using a variety of organizational assessments (measurements). A SWOT analysis will help determine some strategic alternatives and how the band can attempt to fulfill its mission and achieve its goals. Robin Hood can use the SWOT analysis to identify where he is strong and vulnerable, where he should defend and attack by scanning both internal and external environments (McNamara, Performance Management, 1999).
When people think of heroes and villains they think of the characters who play these roles in cartoon movies like Batman and Spiderman, but in reality, anyone can be a hero and anyone can be a villain. Heroes are considered to be inspirational and bold because of what they do to help others. While villains are typically defined as a wicked or evil person who makes others feel helpless.
Stories are have been part of every culture, some of those stories teach a way a life, others show how us a way of culture, others show how Kingdoms have been built and just like that destroyed into pieces, but the Legend of Robin Hood is different, not only because it has been around for centuries but because the legend has changed so much over the years, and with that each Robin Hood movie is way different than the last one, mainly because the historic events that were happening during the filming of the movie were strong enough to change the plot of the movie and change certain archetypes. This is because a film will have greater success if the audience can relate or connect to the plot and the characters in the movie or story.
