The majority of people say that high school is the best years of your life, and that saying holds true because high school has truly made a positive impact on my life. High school has cocurriculars, classes of various levels such as basic, academic, honors, or advanced placement, and various opportunities such as athletic sports. I have had a traditional high school experience, but the memories that I have made along the way have been priceless. It is sad for me to think that this amazing part of my life is almost over. During this time in my life, I tend to look back and reminisce on the moments that I shared throughout my high school experience. I realize that I have been blessed with the opportunity to meet so many amazing faculty members and friends that truly changed my life. High school allowed me to figure out who I truly am and helped me realize what I want to do with my life, high school enabled me to figure out my strengths and weaknesses, and high school reminds me of a mountain climb. High school enabled me to figure out who I truly am and helped me realize what I want to do with my life. Throughout the years, I have matured a lot and became a better student. I am hoping that these developments will help me later on in college. During my freshman year of high school, I tended to be afraid of the upperclassmen and I was afraid to step out of my comfort zone which resulted in me remaining shy and afraid to seek help. At this time, I did not have an accurate idea of who I truly was and who I was meant to be. During my sophomore year of high school, things started to change. I felt like being shy was a struggle, and I still dealt with it. I was still afraid to seek help, but I met a teacher this year, Mrs. Varriale, who ... ... middle of paper ... ...o grateful for being able to attend such an amazing high school and take classes that relate to my intended career. This part of my life is almost over, and it is finally hitting me that I am on my way to fulfilling my dream. I could not have done it without the valuable skills that I learned along the way and the determination and passion that I have developed. High school seems like something that will vanish in time, but I know that the memories I made and the skills that I developed will play a huge impact during the course of my life. People say high school is supposed to be the golden years of your life. I don’t know what else in life is to come; however, my philosophy is to live in the moment and make the life you’re living in the present worthwhile into the future, not only for you but for those who surround you. I live my life participating in our community and getting involved in our school. The activities, and the people I’ve formed relationships with, are what have formed me into the person I am today. The person I am today is not perfect, but I have learned from the mistakes I’ve made.
High school is meant to be the time of your life, but for most seniors just like me it can be some of the most emotional and crazy time. The things in my past make me who I am today, and the things I do now are the first footsteps into the future. I’ve learned a lot about myself in these past four years, and I still have so much learning to do. This is my high school story; the good, bad, and the ugly.
I was shy because I didn’t know anybody. Now I’ve gotten to know the people in my classes, and I’ve learned that they can help me just as I can help them. Because I was homeschooled, I was a little laid back on when to turn in assignments, I just turned them in when I felt like it. At college, I have changed the way I turn in assignments. I have learned that if I turn in my assignments early or on time I have a better chance of getting a higher grade. I have also changed in the way I manage my time, before I started college I would just get out of bed whenever I felt like it. Now I set alarms and different times on when I need to get something
As a young adult in high school I was given a lot of responsibility along with peer pressure to exceed my family’s principles. The first day of high school as a freshman, was overwhelming, stressful, and full of anxiety. I felt as if I had no one to count on including my family and friends. Felt alone most of the time and didn’t unspoke about problems that began to bother me emotionally, physically, and mentally. My problems arose freshman through sophomore year. I reached a point where I could no longer keep this a secret.
High school was not a completely dreadful experience, but I did not get a really an exceptional education. As I entered high school, I thought it would be a whole new exciting chapter in my life. I started out as an involved student, and went through all of the Advance Placement and Honor classes, and managed to be at the top 12% of my class. In high school, I basically placed myself to enjoy it; I joined all of the extra curricular activities I was interested in. I was in band, tennis, swimming, dance team, and Key Club. Sometimes I was at school for about fourteen hours a day, four times a week.
As I turned my tassel from right to left, an overwhelming sensation of joy shot through my body. I finally did it, I finally completed those 4 daunting yet unique years of high school. Not only did I complete high school successfully, I also graduated in the top 10% of my class. Now with each passing day I countdown to when I'll start the next chapter in my life. I know this chapter of my life will be filled with many different emotions and hardships.

Even though I lost so much during junior year, I was unaware of the fact that secretly I was actually gaining a great deal of life experiences and real-life lessons for the future. Quite honestly I feel lucky. I feel lucky that I matured early in life; with this new maturity I feel I can accomplish anything. I feel I can make a positive difference in this world. I feel like this experience will be the primary step in my success, in terms of my career, and in the launch of my Children in Need campaigns in third world countries. I feel like the young superman who just learned how to fly, slightly aware of his magnificent impact towards the world. In short, I feel junior year provided foundation for the more mature and adult chapters of my life, and without the numerous obstacles of junior year, I would never gained the key to a successful future.
My High School life has helped shape the way for my college experiences that I will face. My senior year in high school is not the same as many other high school students. I am taking many advanced classes to help me prepare for college. These classes help me better understand exactly how much harder I must work to succeed.
My life has been full of so many events. I’ve lived through many hard times combatting my anxiety and depression, while having family problems, and trouble with many other areas in my life. School was a daily problem, and a problem that couldn’t really be avoided or fixed. I really hope that the rest of my life goes in this upward climb pattern that I am in right now, although I expect to have my ups and downs, but now I at least know that I am prepared for them.
Graduation is an exciting time in a person’s life, especially a high school graduation. When I think of family and friends gathering together to celebrate a joyous occasion, I feel I accomplished my strongest goal. It never occurred to me that graduation would be the end of my youth and the start of adulthood. Graduating from high school was an influential event that gave me an altered outlook on my existence. Life before graduation, preparing for graduation day, and commencement day overwhelmed me for reality.

You know, it is really strange how quickly time passes, after spending my whole childhood wishing I was an adult, now here we are and it's a little hard to grasp. It feels like just yesterday I was standing here in the same position at eighth grade graduation. Ahh, middle school, such a joyous time for all of us, free of maturity and not a care in the world. The biggest decisions I ever had to make then was deciding which group to stand with at passing time and choosing which shirt from my extensive collection of Stussy and No Feat apparel to wear. We were all naive to the danger that lurked just around the corner. We were unaware that the carefree world we lived in was about to come crashing to the ground in a blazing inferno of real school work and responsibility ... otherwise known as high school.
Time flies so fast. Looking back, my high school is just like a movie, a lot of things happened. High School is four years of growing up and probably a time in your life where you go through the most changes. In high school you are able to discover yourself and find out who you are as a person. Each year is special and unique in their own way. My journey through high school was a tough one, especially because I decided to not only focus on academic work but also to invest quality time in extra curriculum activities. I wanted more than just academic excellence; I wanted to be a leader, I wanted to add value to every aspect of my life, I wanted a rounded education and not just mere schooling. My success story is what I will like to share with you; how I really made it and how this defines my personality. My journey in High School was scary, exciting, and successful.
When I was in high school I had a problem, which was being shy. Being shy made me seem as if I was anti-social, and caused me to have no friends, but my shyness was decreasing each year of high school because I talked more, and by the time I reached 12th grade I had many friends, who are very close to me till this day. While being in high school, I was always focused on my studies. People believed that I was a genius in high school, but I really wasn’t, I was just focus on the lessons, and understood what the teacher taught us. As I reached eleventh grade, I was chosen to be a part of the National Honor Society; I thought that I was never going to be part of the National Honors Society. I was at the hospital when my friends told me the good news—that I was selected to be part of the National Honors Society. As I reached 12th grade I learned that working while going to school is a bad idea if you can’t multitask right. When I was working I didn’t realized that I wasn’t multitasking right; I wasn’t putting enough effort into my studies, and having a job was distracting me, so I decide to quit my job, and continue my education by going to college. Having spent twelve years of my school life in just one small red brick building, the years tend to fade into each other. But the year I remember most clearly and significantly is my senior year of high school, where I finally began to appreciate what this institution offered to any student who stopped to look. Before, school had been a chore, many times I simply did not feel motivated toward a subject enough to do the homework well, and seeing the same familiar faces around ever since I was 5 years old grew very tiring soon enough. But I began to see things from a different angle once I became a senior.
