According to economists (2013) America federal government suspended business on October 1 market mostly yawned. Whether this are means not paying bonds and throw financial markets into chaos is not clear. The fear is that in the midst of political danger, treasury will miss interest payments on some of its debts. Despite the facts that are Americans have a problem and should not have trouble paying the bills. According to Michael Cloherty RBC capital markets, if the U.S. defaulted on treasury lender may reject as collateral because it cannot ensure that others will accept them. It is only available in the third federal spending that Congress reauthorize every year. The interest payments for America debt and spending on social security, Medicare and most government assistance to are poor. In the field of low-cost and globally-ambitious Internet subscription services, there are mainly four big competitors, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and HBO. In order to win as much of consumers’ time and spending as possible, each of them have different strategies to compete with each other. HBO is an original content firm getting into the Internet subscription business with HBO Go (Moskowitz, 2015). Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon are internet firms with mostly licensed content, all planning their strategy of producing original content.
However the interest we pay on our nation 's debt is very small compared to the overall budget. According to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities only 7% of the total budget is spent on interest which is relatively low compared to things like social security which took up 24% of the budget in 2014 (Policy Basics). As long as the United States can continue to keep the interest rates low the debt will continue to be a begin threat. If the creditors of the U.S. were to spike their interest rates, America would be in trouble, however America has fairly good credit, and it should remain that way unless there is another scare like the government shutdown in 2011 (Riley). Overall the threat of the nation debt is a very minute problem in the grand scheme of things. According to The Richest, only five nations in the entire world are completely debt free, which is astounding when you consider that there are about 195 countries in the entire world (Mathers; How Many). These figures show how extremely difficult it is for a country to run without having a certain amount of debt, and America having debt should not be a concern. America is not even in the top ten countries whose debt make up the majority of their GDP (Country List). Which means that at the moment American’s should not be overly
As our deficits continue to rise, our government should focus on ways to increase revenue and reduce the national debt. According to the US Debt Clock, if the U.S economy were to suddenly crash, each citizen would owe $202,835. That is more than the average citizen were to makes in 4.4 years. In 2014, a wage survey concluded that the national average wage per citizen was $46,481.52 (Social Security). If the United States continues to ignore the debt that is lingering, the countries that we owe money to could cut us off from trade. If this were to occur, not only would it hurt our economy, but we may end up in another great depression. China, Japan and Brazil are just a few countries that the government is in debt to. Even though there are other areas of concern such as military, education, and social security that the government needs to allocate spend to, reducing the national debt is what our government officials should be their primary expenditure considering how large our debt has gotten to.
Gender issues have gradually become one of the dominant topics and a very sensitive issue in our society today. These issues are connected with an increased gender identity driven towards a perceived gender inequality that has formed a type of society where a certain group of people or a certain gender feels less incorporated in the functioning or the affairs of the society or being less recognized in certain spheres in the society. By gender identity, according to genderspectrum is “one’s innermost concept of self as a male or female or both or neither.” In this essay, I will be summarizing and critically analyzing gender theories in the book ‘International Relations Brief’ written by Joshua S. Goldstein; Jon C. Pevehouse.

Reed Hastings, co-founder of Netflix headquartered in Los Gatos, CA, began the company’s operations in 1997 after receiving an enormous late charge from a movie rental he returned long overdue. However, Hastings had the desire to be different than traditional movie outlets; whereas, customers had to drive to the location, pay a certain amount for each movie they rented, and were given a deadline in which to return the movie. Instead of using a method established by other video markets “to attract customers to a retail location, Netflix offered home delivery of DVDs through the mail” which eventually led to a booming business towards streaming forms of entertainment (Shih, Kaufman, & Spinola, 2009, p. 3). Today, Netflix exists along with several competitors; however, offers the most streaming content available for viewing, and continues to grow its subscriber base both domestically and globally. Although, direct and indirect competitors, acquisition costs, and several barriers present a financial threat for Netflix, the company has managed to grow with the acclamation of partnerships, expand to international territories, and vastly increase its price in shares of stock.
Video Rental and Streaming has partly been of the most significant avenues of the general home entertainment industry in the United States for many years. It promotes constructive development through various channels such as Information Technology, Public Multimedia and it also has a huge impact on people’s lives and their entertainment on demand. One of the best companies which provide this high-advanced service is Netflix, Inc (Netflix). It was incorporated on August 29th in 1997 in California by Reed Hastings & Marc Randolph; listed on NASDAQ as NFLX in 2002. Netflix is the world’s largest Internet subscription service streaming television shows and movies with over 40 million members in 40 countries (Netflix, 2013).
The company that will be analyzed in this critique is Netflix. Netflix is a provider of on-demand internet streaming media available to viewers in all America and parts of Europe. Netflix allows a wide range of ages to watch a variety of different movies and TV shows. Before making a long term commitment to Netflix, people have the chance to use a Free Trial. The Free Trial for Netflix is available for 1 month. People are able to watch unlimited movies and TV episodes over the Internet on a Netflix-enabled device. After the month is up, people will then decide if they want to continue to use Netflix as a member, or decide to cancel the membership. Netflix is a month to month subscription which is $7.99 (Netflix, 2014). Netflix was introduced
The idea inspired Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph, and then they founded Netflix in Scotts Valley, California in 1997 (Netflix, 2014). The company comes into play by developing a subscription-based streaming platform for movies and television shows. Unlike the traditional movie rental businesses such as Blockbuster and Redbox, Netflix’s innovation offers service via Internet, and it does not have any physical stores but instead delivers DVDs through postal mail in the U.S. Since then, Netflix has become the world’s leading internet television network with constant growth of customers to over 48 millions members in more than 40 countries in the North America, Europe, and the Latin America (Netflix, 2014). In this analysis, the main focus is examining the current market environment for Netflix. It identifies the type of market structure that Netflix is currently competing. The analysis also expands on the competitions, product differentiation, pricing strategy, and measuring the level of easy entry-and-exit.
