If you are a new owner of a puppy or dog, then be ready to be a good master and impart proper training to your new pet. It becomes a lot easier to incorporate socialization skills when you consistently communicate with your dog and understand the way it learns.
The dogs learn from their surrounding and immediate consequence of their behavior. Part of the responsibility of being a dog owner is to take care that your dog is well behaved around others, both inside and outside of the house and more importantly to be concerned regarding safety of the dog.

A dog becomes socialized by interacting with other canines and learns from their verbal cues and body language. It is a much easier learning process for the pups from their elders.
But in case of a pet dog, it is rendered alone in the house and hardly gets any chance to mix with other pets. So, it becomes the duty of the owner to give sufficient time for the pet and groom it with social skills which in return rescues the owner from embarrassing moments in a gathering because of his canine.

When you are bringing a puppy to your home, then it is easier to train as the small canine is in the initial phase of learning and adapts to the environment of the house. Your care and love for the dog have a great influence on its response towards people an other animals.
