What is external communication?
External marketing communication allows companies to stay in touch with customers and provides a channel for customer input while also identifying and exploiting sales opportunities.
What should we aim for with external communication?
Our external communication should keep members up to date with changes and policies at the Y, and it should promote our members, classes, programs, and family atmosphere. It should also make all members of the Y staff readily available to talk or answer questions members may have. We should strive, through our external communication, to make our Y members feel valued and appreciated.

I currently do most of it along with all of our design work, and they’re things I really enjoy doing.
The reason I haven’t really gone ahead with most of these things and formulating an actual marketing plan is because for the last year it’s been just a side job. I really think Vicksburg is a big enough market and we’re a big enough YMCA (especially with the possible expansion and discussions of launching a capital campaign) that we need to make marketing more of a focus than a side thing we think about.
I’d like to add marketing/community relations to my job description and if at all possible my job title. It is work that need to be done and work that I love doing, and it’s something I see a future moving forward in. If it were part of my title, it’d be better for my resume in the future, and that would mean a great deal to me. (But don’t worry – we do plan on spending a good number of years still in Vicksburg with me still at the Y.) I’m not exactly sure what that new title would look like, but it’s something I’d like to discuss. As mentioned before, it’s also something that funds have been approved for, so at some point I’d like to discuss that as

The best approach to do this is for organizations to consider what value they are proposing to offer to their clients and once this choice is made, choose how to impart this message to their clients/commercial center (Fahy and Jobber, 2012). It is viewed as that there are 3 principle components to the marketing communication mix: tools, media and messages (Baines and Fill, 2014). Marketing In this day and age is vital for a company to perform at its possible best. Marketing’s main focus is to give great satisfaction to a customer. There are many aspect of marketing, these aspects give marketer’s the tools to help strive for the best possible success they can achieve. They hope that they can create exposure for their brand, product or service.
Marketing is a core pillar of an organization and contribute significantly in its prosperity through attaining the laid down targets as well as scope of development. The position of an organization is hugely based on its competitiveness and capacity to capture a significant portion of the market in relation to the prevailing needs of consumers. Interaction of the organization with the consumers and the potential consumer in the market arena is attained through the marketing wing of the organization (Ferrell& Hartline, 2012). Question 1 When studying communications, one will realize that different companies or organizations communicate internally and externally with their different target audiences. Therefore, we are exposed to different kinds of corporate publications. These can be internal and/or external publications. Corporate publications intend to communicate or rather aim to convey certain messages to different audiences.
