Renewable forms of energy are becoming more and more necessary for a sustainable future. Wind energy is a form of energy that is becoming more and more popular, and it offers a way for people to harness energy from something natural to create electricity. Wind energy in addition to other sustainable forms of creating energy are going to start taking the place of fossil fuels as people realize the true benefits of using them.
There are many benefits of using wind energy in comparison to using fossil fuels. The first is that once wind turbines are built, they don’t release greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere. Wind energy also doesn’t pollute the air or water with other pollutants. Of course some greenhouse gasses and other pollutants will be emitted during the construction of wind turbines, but once they are built, wind turbines are a completely green and sustainable source of energy (About Wind Energy).
Wind itself is an infinite source. Of course many locations do not have enough wind for a wind turbine to be truly beneficial, but many locations do have enough wind to make the turbines advantageous. Eventually the earth will run out of fossil fuels, but wind is something that is constant with varying speeds across the globe, but nonetheless as long as there is a sun and oceans, there will be wind. There is also plenty of wind to meet our needs, “the potential of [the total] wind power [in the world] is… 20 times more than what the entire human population needs” (Maehlum). Once a wind turbine is built, the wind is free whereas fossil fuels continue to cost money as they are mined and processed (About Wind Energy). California alone has enough energy from wind to generate eleven percent of the world’s energy needs (The Energy S...

2. Personally i am for wind farms and in my opinion. I think that wind energy has a great potential not only is wind energy very reliable and sustainable. it is also not as expensive as some at the other types of renewable green energy sources.
Wind works. Over the past four decades, wind has provided an increasing amount of the energy we use. Today, wind farms generate about 50,000 megawatts of clean, renewable energy -- the equivalent of the energy produced by 12 Hoover Dams.
Wind power is another form of solar power. Wind isn’t only a clean fuel source, but it is one of the most inexpensive e alternative sources of energy. Just as long wind continues to blow and the sun shines then wind power can produce energy to send to many different areas. There aren’t many locations that have continuous wind. And because of that the widespread development of wind power isn’t as great as it could be. Although there are more advantages than disadvantages when it comes to this energy source, the disadvantages should be taken just as seriously. Wind power can harm animals, there was a study that stated birds were coming in contact with turbines and dying. For many people the noise from the turbines is unbearable, and that’s something else that should be taken into
A wind turbine is a device that converts kinetic energy from the wind into electrical power. Small wind turbines we discussed for domestic use have fewer requirements to properties, but more considerations of cost compared to large wind turbine.
Overall wind energy is a renewable energy resource that is natural occurring with unlimited supply. Wind energy has very little adverse effects on the environment. As technologies increase, the cost of wind energy will continue to decrease. There are many advantages and disadvantages to wind power. In the near future, hopefully the many disadvantages will become obsolete and wind energy will become more popular.
Now-a-days the handling of “Electricity” has been increased rapidly. Due to this the “Fossil Fuels” are getting extinguished day-to-day. So we need to choose for an alternate source of energy that is Renewable Source. Among the Renewable Sources “Wind Energy” is one of them.
Wind energy has been utilized for hundreds of years. Such a simple technology and source of energy has always been around, and has been used slightly, but never to its full potential. Only recently have people been discovering and engineering ways to utilize the great, natural, free source of energy that the universe gives us. Renewable, safer, more efficient, and environmentally friendly sources of energy are becoming more and more important in such an, already, physically damaged world that we live in. It is becoming a household debate, and a debate in which many world leaders are taking notice and action towards. There is plenty of upside in investing in renewable energy, but people and countries are so reluctant because of how cheap non-renewable
One of the main types of renewable energy that we have used the most is the wind energy. Wind energy is the energy produced from the power of the wind. Throughout the 20th century, wind energy was used by sailboats as a fuel to move the boat in different directions. In the past, this was the most frequent way for shipment of goods. Sailboats were also used as a method of transportation. Also, wind energy is used to power wind turbines and convert the wind energy into electricity. Without the wind energy, the production of electricity and the shipment of goods would have been very difficult and perhaps life on earth might have perished. Thus, the efficient ways of using the renewable energy such as wind energy has played an enormous role to our existence and it has made engineers more successful at harnessing
Wind energy has been around for a very long time, as early as 5,000 B.C.. It has even been historically utilized by the Egyptians, Dutch, Persians, and more. Wind energy is known as an alternative source of energy, which is any form of energy that does not harm our environment or diminish any natural sources. Wind energy is renewable, is not expensive, and is a clean source of energy that does not produce any pollution. Wind energy is the best form of energy there is.
If wind is essentially free, why don't we see more windmills? The reason is that wind doesn't blow whenever we need power. Wind energy can only be stored in batteries and much of the energy from wind can not be harnessed into useful energy. The public also views wind generators as an eyesore on the landscape.
"The energy of wind changed over into valuable frame (normally electric current) is called wind energy". Wind energy is a Renewable energy source. When utilized can be supplanted.
The Wind Turbine is a device that converts the kinetic energy of the wind into kinetic energy of turbines. The turbines turn to generate electricity but they work only when there is wind. The efficiency is 30-40%. The environmental impacts are needs many large turbines to generate electricity which can be noisy and unsightly. Turbines may endanger birds and bats.
Wind is a form of solar energy. The term wind energy describes the process by which the wind is used to generate electricity or mechanical power. Wind turbines convert mechanical energy from the wind into electrical power. Wind turbines usually have three main parts. There are blades that connect to a central hub, a box behind the blades that contains the generator, and a long stem that connects to the ground. The way how it works is that the wind turns the blades, which spins a shaft that connects to a generator making electricity. After the electricity is produced it is sent through transmission lines to a substation that is sent to business and homes. For the sake of our planet, we must promote a renewable energy economy. Wind power can be a foundation of that sustainable energy future because it provides jobs in states that are building wind turbines, is a renewable energy source, and does not damage our environment. The environment will not be damaged by the pollution, the natural resources will not be used up, and there won’t be generating of hazardous wastes. Welcoming wind energy today will lay the foundation for a healthy tomorrow that will affect everyone in the United States. There are obstacles and challenges that will make it more difficult, but the environmental impact is well worth it to invest more money into wind energy.
Wind power is one of the most sustainable ways of generating electricity as no toxic emissions are produced; it does not add to global warming and is one of the most available sources of renewable energy and theoretically it is an infinite source of energy. On sufficiently windy areas, wind turbines are one of the most economical methods of generating electricity, which makes it appealing to many individuals, governments and organizations. Due to this it is the fastest growing source of electricity in the world (Union of Concerned Scientists, 2014) with a 10% increase in yearly additions installed in 2012 compared with 2011 (Global Wind Energy Council, 2012). However the proportion of energy that can be harnessed through wind power is restricted by the cost of the infrastructure needed, construction, the amount of wind that occurs and that there are only a narrow number of sites within the UK that are windy enough for the wind turbines to be worth installing.
Using fossil fuels such as coal and oil is inefficient, dangerous, and otherwise a process that is known to eventually fail as a long lasting energy source. Yet, there is hope for the future of energy, this new hope has many shapes and forms, but requires a chance to be fully implemented in our everyday life. Such energy sources like solar energy, wind energy, geothermal energy, and hydro power are the key to our future. These energy sources are proven to be long lasting, safe, more reliable, and the next innovation. In short, all Americans should switch to renewable energy, resulting in a safer and more efficient world.
