Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci was born on April 15th 1452 in Vinci, Republic of Florence at three in the morning, Leonardo was born out of wedlock his parents were Piero da Vinci, and a peasant woman named Caterina. He was/is known for being a polymath: architect, sculptor, painter, botanist, engineer, mathematician, inventor, anatomist, cartographer, geologist, writer and a musician. He was a true genius and master of diverse fields, an inspiration. A man with unquenchable curiosity and an extremely inventive imagination who is vastly believed to be the most diversely talented person to have ever lived. However such knowledge is not something you are born with. He was educated in the studio of the notorious Florentine painter Verrocchio, Leonardo then worked under the facility of Ludovico il Moro which is in Milan; he then later worked in Rome, Bologna and Venice. Leonardo worked with Verrocchio on the piece of his “The Baptism of Christ” painting the young angel holding Jesus’s robe in such a way that was so much greater to his master's that Verrocchio put down his paint brush and never again painted. Leonardo Da Vinci is renowned for his technological cunning as he conceptualised things that we use today such as the Tank. He made important discoveries in civil engineering, anatomy and optics and even hydrodynamics he did not publish all of his findings and works so they didn’t take much influence on more modern sciences however Leonardo Da Vinci had been a sufferer of chronic procrastination, which lead him to leaving only a few pieces of finalised work; he ruined quite a lot of his work with his frequent disastrous experimentation with new techniques. But only through failure can success be achieved. Leonardo created “The Las... ... middle of paper ... ...y know he refuted the idea of the Biblical flood, and that his knowledge of science was so good that he thought up a hypothesis so close to the accurate and modern day one. I did not know how important he was to Italy and its rulers at the time; neither did I know to the full extent of his accomplishments and qualifications. Also he was so good he made his tutor quit painting. Leonardo Da Vinci was an inspiring, intellectual almost omnipotent individual. Through researching this incredible historical idol, I have been inspired to better myself and broaden my talents; his knowledge of anatomy is perfect and is key to proportional accuracy.
