One can always rely on studies of matter at the atomic scale to discover unique and unusual things. Given the way materials act under certain conditions, many times it seems one of these characteristics brings about the other, without explanation. It is this volatility and excitement that has solidified my continuous passion within this field and in my life’s endeavors. It is the curiosity of the unexpected, the search for a greater understanding of our world at the atomic scale, and in a dynamic environment, that brings me to pursue graduate studies in the USA.
My parents say that I was always an inquisitive girl. Throughout my childhood I played with all sorts of scientific toys and tried to figure out how things work. My superlative performance in school earned me a number of awards at the national level in India. By the end of my early education, I had developed a keen interest in science and decided to work towards it and chose it as my career. I was fascinated by one of my undergraduate subjects Physics. I took several fundamental physics courses and my overall grades in my undergraduate studies were excellent. This preparation led me to pass the ‘National Graduate-ship of Physics’ exam during my undergraduate study in India.
To further extend my knowledge of physics, I enrolled in the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (MSU), for a Master’s degree specialized in solid state physics. At MSU, I lived independently and took several specialized physics courses. I found theoretical solid state physics and experimental condensed matter physics to be the most exciting as it continuously peaked my interest. The theory inspired me to study this subject more deeply and made me familiar with its modern concepts.

I have prepared myself fully to continue work and face any challenges experimental science research can bring and I am sure that my interests and research skills will enable me to successfully complete a Ph.D. degree as a great experimental physicist. I believe the communication with expert professors in your program, along with my abilities, hard work, and enthusiasm will allow me to reach my goals and continue our broader comprehension of the world around us.
I am aware competitive research calls for complete dedication, commitment, and outstanding performance and I am confident I will exceed any expectations.

...ysics.” Although he did possess some personal qualities and knowledge that enabled him to look at things differently and allowed him to answer many difficult questions in the 20th century, without any help from other scientists modern physics would look very different from what it looks like right now. His views and ideas had to conform with previously established principles, had to be logically valid and had to go through a review process before being accepted as a part of the discipline of physics. This shows how strong personal knowledge led to advances in an area of knowledge and in shared knowledge.
I am a dedicated, focused student looking to push the boundaries of Engineering Physics with creative out of the box thinking. I have the drive to be successful and positively represent UBC Engineering Physics. I have a passion for physics and math which is why I believe this program is so appealing and a perfect choice. Having already started, run and sold a successful landscaping company, I have experience in entrepreneurship and have determined being an entrepreneur is something I want to pursue in the future. I believe Engineering Physics would give me the opportunity and breadth of knowledge to make my entrepreneurial vision a reality and allow me to find solutions to the issues that will impact the future of humanity. Being on UBC Supermileage
I can cooperate well and listen to other students, and my interest in science means that I will be easily compelled in our various tasks. I will work very hard in all areas of the Academy to be the best member of the community that I can be, and I will be very helpful and attentive to all my fellow students and teachers. I hope that you will consider making me an addition to the Biomedical Academy, and I promise that I will do everything in my power to make the Academy proud if I become a part of
I have always been a math-science oriented person, and until my sophomore year of high school, my primary interest was in biological sciences. However, as a student in the Pre-International Baccalaureate Program, I was required to enroll in the physics I class. Walking into the physics lab, I saw an energetic, eccentric woman in a room covered with posters of the periodic table and Alberta Einstein alongside those of Elvis Presley. I would never view physics in the same light again.
From a very young age, I have enjoyed reading a wide spectrum of topics. However, during high school, I had become preoccupied with physics during my studies and readings, and so I began to focus my attention upon the materials that further shed light on the science. The more I read, the more I became intrigued with the interrelations between matter, energy, and time and space motion illustrated through the science. Therefore, motivated to become one of Saudi Arabia’ few female physicists, upon graduating from high school I opted to major in the science that captivated me like no other....
I have a tendency to forget things, for that reason my childhood friends used to taunt me calling ‘scientist’. I do not remember from when, this bully name has turned into my aim. I have completed my graduation from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology with a CGPA of 3.60 (on a scale of 4.00). I was among the top 5 students in my class. Though I was not always serious in the classroom, I always tried to be vigilant and active during each and every lab classes.

‘Research is creating new knowledge’, as said, since my childhood I was always into experimenting on things, even the smallest radio set in my home was a huge miracle to me as a child. Exploring into the parts of it was great learning. So thus my interest towards technology has begun, which made me participate and win various Science fairs conducted during school level. I stood FIRST in the SIR C.V.RAMAN test as an outstanding student in Science. Being one of the best students in my school I have scored 77% , which was one of the listed topper’s grades, in my X Standard.
...nd physics, as well as improving my analytical and programming skills before engaging in research will make this a more worthwhile experience.
I am sure that you will find me as a deserving and creditable student for your renowned University. I am confident that given the opportunity, I would perform to the best of my abilities and seek to acquire skills that will help me achieve my goals and contribute towards research endeavours. It would indeed be a great pleasure and honour to study at your university
I am aware of the hard work and perseverance necessary for research work and I know that it is not always as exciting as the published results seem to indicate. Nevertheless, I am sure that my aptitude and drive will see me through the challenge. It is with this in mind, that I look forward to a long and rewarding relationship with your university as a graduate student, I take this opportunity to thank the University faculty for their patient perusal of my application.
With a great passion for physics, I opted physics in B.Sc; and continued to understand different disciplines in physics. The physics lab experience in the university fascinates me,specifically optics lab, How the vision systems works; how LASERS works; how light rays carry information and finally, the Telescopes.I enjoy studying physics, especially Optics, because unknowingly, I do feel very comfortable when I de...
