How many students do you know who want to go to go school longer than 7 hours per day? Despite the fact that students complain about school, it’s important that every child get their education even if they feel it doesn’t matter. This paper will state the pro’s and con’s of extending school hours for the students and how it can have a negative effect on them.
Obama and other politicians believe that we have should go to school longer in order to achieve more. Student already sit a seat 8 hours a day for a day for a months, any longer than that they will just refuse to go to school any more. Especially those teenagers that is unwilling to learn and work. It will not do them any good they will just continue to do what makes them happy which is no work. Therefore, extending the hours want make them work harder it would make them work less.
Most students already spend 6/7 hours at school then when they get home they also have homework which takes at least 2/3 hours. If you have tests you end up studying for at least 2 hours, which means by the time you finish with everything it will be time for bed. What about sports? What about time with your family? What about enjoying your childhood? “Longer school days would be crazy and it will l just make students hate school more and make them even miserable?”.(Visual Stimulator)

What about students who are already managing their time and performance? Their schedules are going to unfairly impact. They will be having problems trying to do everything at one time.
Beside it’s hard to maintain focused across a long span of time is evidently it’s ...

...ving longer class time means that a lot more stuff will get finished that might have not because there was too little time. The longer class times doesn't mean that it has to just be the teacher up in front. This could be a time where the teachers walk around asking students if they need help. It could be a homework period. Maybe they have sports. They could get all their homework done if there are longer school days. And teachers worry so much about students not doing homework.
So as a result longer school day would be good for the students. It would help them get a better education. We would see the difference between the student’s grades. “I would take any more time we could get!” (Melissa Partridge) This will give student the chance to take their time and do their best on their work. Therefore, just imagine how many students will be doing better in school.
